I'm a Commerce student...but after taking sociology classes from Dr Thompson in my first year and Dr.Puk in my second year, I have decided to reject my materialistic endevours and instead pursue a degree in Sociology where I can learn to help others instead of myself.

Prof. Thompson is a beauty. His class was interesting and his class discussions were thought provoking. It's a shame that he's retiring, he was probably the best prof at the university. The people giving out the 3m award obviously agree.

I thought Dr. Thompson was a great prof - but there is one thing I wish I had known. His undergrad degree is in philosophy, and this comes through in how he approaches sociology. I like sociology but have no interest in philosophy and did not like his class for that reason. However, as a teacher he is skilled and fair.

Johnny T. had an excellent grip on reality and really understood how the world works. It is nice to see such wisdom applied to the social issues of today. Take this class for the understanding, not the credit - it can be extremely practical and benificial.

He's really nice guy and I like his theories about alot of stuff in life.To do good, you definitely have to make the real effort to understand the material but it all makes sense in the end.I don't really like learning by the power point slides though
