My first soci class, it was a different way of thinking for me so it was a hard for me to get how to answer his exam questions. He's a nice guy and didn't seem to strict. I ended up getting a B, which is decent.

TAKE NOTES! The text book was really all over the place and only supplemental to lectures.. pay attention in class and take small notes on the "lecture guideline" he posts online prior to class and you'll be fine on the exams. Only 3 exam.. some group work but not really. Exams were only multiple choice this semester because we had no time..

Easy class. Good interesting lectures that are easy to understand. Interesting topics. Not much work required, 3 tests and some occasional group work. If you have questions, ask during lectures. Not much help available outside of lectures. Good interesting videos.

Good teacher, excellent class. Has a lot to say during lectures but they are interesting and sometimes funny. His tests are challenging only because you need to understand the material, not simply memorize it. Would definately take another class with him.

Very laid back, very good at explaining material. Tests are 90% from notes (which you take yourself in class), tests are reasonable. Very nice person, humorous at times. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Pay attention in class and write decent notes and you'll ace the class. He is not very picky on the essay questions on his tests and as long as you understand the theme of the question you'll get 100% on them which was I was pleasantly surprised about.

Best prof I've had so far at kwantlen. He is always helpful but is hard to get a hold of. He really knows the subject well and is really passionate about it. His tests are not that hard but they are fair. Definetly recommend this prof.

Overall Ken is a good teacher. He has set policies on marking and will not bump up your grade even 1% to get you to the next level. I think he's a little opinionated so really know your stuff if you want him to accept your point of view. MC tests are easy. I would still recommend him.

He just reads pretty much word for word from the textbook. when he was asked questions that were outside the realm of the textbook he would start stuttering and give a halfass answer. i learned a lot more from reading the textbook than from his classes. might as well take the course online.

ken is amazing, is so great, seriously the best prof i've had. he is totally intense (in a good way) and makes class interesting and fun. i never want to miss. u learn so much and go away feeling glad that you went. there's a presentation and lots of discussion which made the class thought provoking
