Professor Tian was one of the smartest people I have ever met. If you want to learn about finance all over the world take his classes. He is one of the most knowledgeable, quick witted, and genuine professors I have ever had. Take any of his classes and you will not regret it. Participate in his classes and you will learn more than you can imagine

Tian is a very interesting, entertaining, and above all else, energetic man. His course on IPE utilized a lot of great resources and adequately covered a plethora of important information regarding the field. However, you have to be willing to teach yourself to a certain extent. In spite of this, I would still absolutely take this class again.

Tian is a legend! This man gives hilarious and captivating lectures that include class material and material from current events. Homework is not hard, he just cares that you do your part and participate in class. 2-3 papers a semester, gives good comments. Honestly one of the best professors I've ever had and prepares you for life after Conn.

He's nearly impossible to understand, but that being said if you do the readings and take notes on them you'll be fine. I maybe have taken ten important notes in his class to date. Classes are really not helpful and he goes on tangents and if you need something actually explained you'll have to email him, but he will give you a helpful response.

Tian is a great guy. He gets off topic most classes and talks about current events (as his main goal is to make his students "intellectual"), but I actually enjoyed it because he is really intelligent. Also, his extremely animated personality helps keep you awake at 9 in the morning.

Tian is a good guy. He cares about his students and his paycheck. I wish they would give him a raise so he would stop making comments such as "inflation doesn't hurt us poor people, only the rich, so they change their currency into Dollars. I love dollars!" He means well and will give you a good grade if you work for it, or if you are smart.

Accent is kind of hard to understand. You can get used to it, but you often miss the important points because he mostly rambles about random stuff and repeats himself. Every class I take about 3 important notes because he takes so long to make each point, and many of them are extremely basic.
