TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!! Hands down the best professor I have had at state. Inspirational, awesome person, cares about his students. Writing assigned every week but its not hard, go to office hours at Starbucks and he will tell you exactly what you need to do to get an A on a paper. 110% would recommend!

Favorite professor in college so far, lots of papers but are graded fair, if you turn it in on time and follow prompt it is at least a C. Put in a little bit of effort and you will get better grades. Also the professor plays chess and will play with students during his "office hours" which is quite cool.

Prof V-pot was an awesome and hysterical professor. He assigns a little bit of reading each week along with 1-3 pages of writing (not too bad at all). He refuses to use blackboard and because of this has nothing posted online and is not a fan of using technology. This is why attendance is mandatory. So you know the next assignment.

Great guy, reminds me of Jafar from Disney's Aladdin mixed with the magic genie. Funny guy with a dark cloud over him (in a good way, keeps reality in check) He knows his stuff and will make you work for it. Read books that connect with college students views and will put your views in check. Take him, he won't waste your time ;)

Very good teacher. I didn't use to enjoy reading until I took this class. His assignments are very interesting and relevant to our generation of millennials. He has a very dark humor but is very passionate about what he teaches. He is a though grader but provides good feedback when you go to office hours. My writing improved a lot thanks to him.

Interesting books, great guy. Really teaches you how to write and throws old writing ideas and standards out the window. He WILL make you work and you can't miss class. Harder class because he actually makes and expects you to think. *Gasp!* Would recommend if you actually want to learn how to be a better academic writer.

Vanderpot is a very straight forward guy and a very interesting character. There is a lot of short assignments but they are easy. It's not hard to get an A but B+ is very possible. Overall not but and I loved that he always let us out early of course after explaining everything we need

If you can get Brush get Vanderpot. He dos make you write weekly but they are short/interesting papers. it is hard to get an A but easy to get a B. Just agree with him. I'm sure he's from NY so he's quite a character. class gets out early too.

This guy is awesome. He gets straight to the point and expect you to do the same with your writing. Class usually does not go the full time. The book list for the course is pretty cool too. I recommend this guy for those who need this writing class for graduation!!!

Best professor ever. Class is not demanding. As long as you don't write at a 3rd grade level, which many in the class did, you will get at least a "B". Very funny guy and you are never in class for more that 1.5 hours.

Amazing professor! So helpful and makes the papers really interesting and fun to write! This is my 5th and last semester of RWS and was by far my favorite! Such an easy and fun class. Try and get the one day a week class because you almost always stay for only an hour! Highly recommend this professor!!
