Seemed like a lot of reading with the lectures and having to read the New York Times for class. Sort of tough grader when it comes to quiz's but discussions are an easy A if you follow directions and get them in on time.

She managed to make American Government interesting and easy to understand, which is no easy trick. Her class was super organized, easy to follow, with clear definitions as to what was expected. Be prepared for a heavy workload with multiple length discussions each week. But they're interesting and easy to follow, so it's no big.

Professor Michalak is one of the best professors I have ever had. There is a lot of reading, lengthy quizzes, group projects, article reviews, and discussions, but she made all this interesting. She also gives extra credit assignments in each module, so the only way you could fail this class is by not participating. She actually made politics fun!

I took intro to american government online but i have to say if you were never interested on government matters you will learn a thing or two. The class is not too difficult. Just read the book and follow instructions and you will do fine. I was pleasantly surprised at how much i actually enjoyed this class even if politics is not your thing.

I took this class online. She was always available for help and was fairly easy. your required to sign on 1ce a week and a module lasts 2 weeks. there is a test, ny times article review, and discussions in each module. great teacher

Best online professor at BCC. Heavy workload, expects you to use your brain every time you log in, but she's an incredibly dedicated teacher who goes the extra mile in every way to make the class a truly terrific learning experience. She's the only BCC professor whose course made me feel prepared for University level work. A++++

She is Nice, and she teaches you so much about Goverment. She lets you know what her Poltical belifes are but does not prevent that from showing both sides as she takes hits at both Republicans and Democrats. I found this to be a class you don't want to miss. Take this class with her and learn alot! Also read the New York Times!
