Be prepared to read ALOT and there are quizzes every week. Also he doesn't tell you what is going to be on the midterm. He just says "go over your notes". Since the subject is so broad and we have alot, that isn't a review. He is not mean at all but he isn't helpful. This is definitely a teacher that couldn't care less if you failed this course.

Dr. Wargacki is my favorite professor of last semester! He is amazing and super into the material. He is very clear with his expectations and requires meeting with you before your oral presentation, which was very helpful because he highlighted what he wanted to hear. He is adorable also. He gets so excited teaching. 10/10 would take again!

Great class, he's there for you whenever you need help and the syllabus has most of the answers you would need. 3 tests, very short and easy pop quizzes, and one research paper and one oral report. It's not as much as it sounds though, I promise! Well worth it

HE IS AWESOME. If you have the chance to take, do it. His lectures are... different because he can get side tracked but the pop quizzes are insanely simple. For our research paper, if you submit a rough draft he gives you all the pointers on how to get an A. Super straightforward.

He's such an awesome professor. My favorite in a very long time. He loves what he talks about and that helps keep you interested in all the readings, he even adds extras about history or not well known facts. Super knowledgeable and willing to help you, tests are fair and easy if you keep up with the readings. Come to class! Its worth it.

The first week he was somewhat intimidating but he is one of the best professors I have ever had. He really cares about what he teaches, he is SO smart about such a wide range of subject matter, and he really cares about his students. Reading and participation is necessary, but it is totally worth it. he LOVESSS the one who participates very often!

Wargacki is honestly one of the best professors I've had thus far at Seton Hall. He's an incredibly intelligent man and a really great person. A lot of reading necessary for the class, but it's worth it. He's a very lenient grader, as well. Put in the effort and you'll be fine.

If you find his lectures unengaging you should not be in college. He is a fascinating professor brimming with ideas and knowledge and is very friendly and encouraging. Expect to work. Study for tests and read author bios to prepare for pop quizzes. He disclosed his already apparent OCD - it cuts into test time. He greatly rewards effort. Take him.

=/ Too much work. He practically assigned the entire 3000 page anthology. Expect 150-200 pages of reading per week. Three test, a final and a 10-12 page paper. He is a pretty cool guy, and knows his stuff. But this class made me hate american lit.
