Made the information in lecture interesting. Was told that if you go to lecture and take notes you'd excel on the tests. Did the above, studied, understood concepts, but found test material was worded differently than presented in class--even contradicting. Didn't expect questions exactly from the notes, but presentation on tests was confusing

WARNING!!! This professor is awesome! If you don't like one sentence questions on exams that are extremely straight forward DO NOT TAKE HIM! Also, if you prefer a boring class that you dread going to DO NOT TAKE WENZEL! Every class is enjoyable and he makes learning the material fun. If you go to lecture and never study you will get at least a B.

Dr. Wenzel is funny, knowledgeable, and a quality professor. I took the class thinking, "eww bugs" but he presents the material in an amusing and very intriguing way. Highly recommended!!

Like everyone said, amazing professor! VERY FUNNY and makes class interesting. Also, the book is not required (wouldn't even buy it) which is good. I would definitely recommend his class, especially if you aren't that interested in biology because he makes it fun to learn. Also, has a lot of personal experience with things and tells funny stories.

Dr. Wenzel is an excelent lecturer! He makes biology interesting and I think he's really funny. The labs were kind of dumb, but that's not his fault. He understands that we are not science majors, so he tries to make biology relevant to our lives and interesting.

No reason to buy the book with this good of lecturer. The tests come from lecture anyway. Lectures are pretty good considering that I don't really care about biology and he keeps me interested/awake. I would defiantly recommend him.

An incredible teacher. Very witty and humourous. There wasn't a single lecture I didn't laugh in. I had to miss labs due to a family member's funeral and he PERSONALLY made sure I was able to make them up without having to do something extreme like showing a death certificate. I'm going to take his Entomology 333 class. Best prof. I had so far.

Wenzel is hilarious! His lectures are very interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory but midterms and finals are 90% from the lectures. The book is hardly ever used, I wouldn't buy it. I definitely laugh outloud everyday. He makes his class enjoyable to go to and can relate easily to college students! :)

Makes Bio very interesting and fun. very witty guy. lecture attendance isn't mandatory but I HIGHLY recommend it. exams rely heavily on lectures, not really on books (I wouldn't get it unless you need a lot of visual help understanding things). Definately take Wenzel if he is teaching Bio.

I took this class years ago after having Wenzel's Bio 101. Love this professor. Very passionate and knowledgeable, made every lesson phenomenal. He wrote a letter of rec. for me even though bio was not my major. Now, as an English grad student, I look back on his classes as my definite favorite. This is a good man and a great teacher.

I liked Wenzel a lot....he's a funny guy and I was interested in Biology, which he taught well. The labs weren't all that great, but he didn't teach those. I would suggest taking this course from him because he deals with the large crowd very well. He's very intelligent...a little biased about bugs but thats beside the point;) I enjoyed him.
