Professor Taylor is probably the nicest professor Ive ever had. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the books we read, you can tell she chose them with care. Overall, a really easy A and a fun course. If you have the chance, take a class with her!

Very helpful Professor that made learning fun when I was uninterested in the topic. Readings can get to be a lot, but she goes over them in lectures so if you don't read you can still get a good grade. Incredible professor- take her classes.

Prof. Taylor is definitely a friendly and enthusiastic teacher. I took her Dutch culture class to fill space but it ended up being a really interesting experience learning about the history and culture of the Netherlands. Honestly though, the best thing is being able to say you've had a teacher as friendly and amazing as Jolanda.

Professor Taylor is awesome! The class is very interesting and she is passionate about the subjects. She is an extremely fair grader and understanding of students needs. Very nice teacher that wants everyone to do well. One of my favorite classes in my four years at UW!

olanda is a great professor! I would highly recommend taking German 245. The class was easy and did not really require reading all the material because the main points were discussed in class. The class size was small so I got to know everyone pretty well and the work load is minimal. Grading seemed to be pretty lenient as well.

Jolanda is very personable and has a broad knowledge about the Low Countries. Class is very much discussion based, because of this our class was able to get to know one another and class was a lot of fun. Don't really have to read all the material. Outstanding professor. You can tell that she is passionate about what she teaches. Plus, German 245 is a really easy class. Grade mainly depends on class attendance and participation, a research paper, and a take-home final. Interesting learning about America during its colonial times too!

Prof Taylor is an amazing teacher. This class was my favorite class thus far in collage and I had no interest in Dutch before this class. The books you read are usually an easy read and you'll want to read them. I would recommend this class and Prof. Taylor to anyone, even if you dont prefer reading.

My favorite teacher on campus - by far. She made class interesting, shes super nice and her readings were interesting. Easy work load, four 2-page reading responses, one mid-term, and one final take home paper. She brings a lot of culture into her class, very interesting!
