Jon wont shut up, but let me tell you, you want to hear what he has to say. Not a single boring lecture, he has no clear grading criteria. He will grade you based on the efforts put on participation, material readings and the papers you have to write. Attendance is not mandatory, but he will notice you are not there, he will remember your name!

Hes a good enough professor, but often spends class time going off on tangents and never really telling you what he wants of you in assignments. Hes a chill dude but be ready to do some trial and error in his class

Great guy. Will take you on all sorts of tangents during class that are marginally related to the actual topic at hand. But he makes certain that you know what's expected of you. Attendance isn't mandatory but it will affect your grade if you never show up. Won't hesitate to get down to the student's level. Very friendly as well.

There's a reason why Jon has so many reviews. He really goes out of his way to try to make each of his classes stimulating and thought-provoking. The reading material in class was very good. He's a great teacher and knows how to engage his students. He's also a very lenient grader. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

Definitely one of the best, if not THE. Gives AMAZING feedback - practically writes his own essay on top of yours. He talks a lot and tends to go off tangent, but he does not get boring at all, at least for me. Also very VERY lenient in grading. Just put in the effort to go to class once in awhile and do the assignments - Easy grade and fun class

Quite the character, the more your class participates the more entertaining the class will be and you will get more BANG for your buck. Very lenient in grading and you will have to take a metaphorical gun and shoot yourself in the metaphorical foot to fail the class. He was an absolute pleasure to have.

Very lenient grader, and knows a lot about the poets studied in class. Relates subject matter to a variety of other topics and often goes off on tangents, but he isn't boring, imo. Show up and do the assignments and you'll do well.

Constantly talks about himself, although he continuously says how modest and shy he is. Hardly any stimulating class discussion about the readings, although some assignments were interesting/good learning experiences. Quizzes on the readings weren't fair at all, they mostly asked about character names. Definitely cute, though.

Outrageously awesome. Best teacher I've ever had. Passionate about what he does, & makes you want to learn. Gets to know his students and knows all of them by name. He cares & wants you to succeed. Smart guy, knows alot of trivia. Lenient grader, though curriculum for this class includes a good amt of work. Take him & you wont regret it.
