Likes to offer students choices for their assignments. Quizzes based on readings and lectures. Good sense of humour. Very easy yet I also learned a lot. Very cheap textbook! Very reliant on textbook and likes to play documentaries in class. Very kind elderly man.

He is the best professor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and will often email students just to check up on them. If you have the opportunity, take the class. You will not regret it.

Jonathan Dawn is awesome, and he really cares about his students. The assignments were not that difficult, but HOLY MOLY SO MUCH READING. There's no midterm so the final covers the entire year. It's a lot of information. I'd say it's still worth it though. All Christians should take this class.

He is an amazing professor, but he is a very tough marker. On the syllabus there will be a pretty generic description of the assignments and then he will mark looking for very specific almost impossible standards. I didn't do very well, but he is the most caring man that I have ever met.

He is the sweetest and most genuine man I know. He is so passionate about God; his lectures are inspirational. I went into his office for feedback on assignments and he was extremely helpful and thorough on what he expected. The best prof I've ever had and would totally take his RELS285 class again.

Great guy as an individual. Easily one of the toughest markers at TWU. If you like hearing stories over academic lectures, this is the class for you. The Final group project and exam in 70% of the grade, but you almost cover none of it in class. If you don't show up but read the textbook you're golden.

He's very passionate and cares about his students, he is always interested in how you are doing. But he is a very hard marker, don't expect high marks unless you have third or fourth year quality work. He is unclear at times, but he will generally elaborate as long as you ask. Lovely man, I loved getting to know him.

"John Dawn" is an amazing professor, and an amazing person. He cares so deeply for everyone. He also has a very intersting background, which he enjoys sharing in his classes. Even though he lives with a constant headache, he is always happy and making jokes. He asked everyone in the lcass to pray for me one time, thank you! Highly recommended!

I took a religious course with him last summer and I had a great time in his class. He made the class look interesting and we went to the Buddhists' and Sikhs' temples to observe how people other than Christians worship God. Keep it up the good work, sir!

Teaches a wonderful world religions class where you get to go to the richmond mosque and do all sorts of cultural things that definitely change your world view. Its a great class for an upper level rels credit.

He is such a nice guy you feel bad for not liking his teaching style, but he is all over the place. Goes off on stories that don't relate and the next thing you know class is over. I didn't care until the midterm came up and I realized I had very limited knowledge of the actual subject matter! So so nice though, and great accent!
