Prof. Thomson is really a great professor. He gave us allotted time to go through out tests and fix grammar for an extra 2% boost. He is incredibly smart and asks only that some people participate in his lectures. Super easy marker - I got 80s in his class without much effort. Really wants to make sure you succeed.

Took a course in theory and criticism a few years ago (#?). Clive knew how to distinguish the pompous, scarved wannabes from the real thinkers. Encourages creative, independent thought, but supports it with a broad knowledge base. A brilliant man with a huge heart. Sometimes a little intimidating - you get the sense that he's reading your mind.

His classes are somewhat lightweight. He's very popular, but it's because he doesn't really get very deeply into the material. It all seems a bit fluffy, like he's slacking off.

He is an AMAZING prof. He is crazy intelligent and really inspires you to do well. He is so helpful and volunteers to meet with every student to discuss how they can do better on essays. The only bad thing was that he marked quite easily and apparently our marks were belled DOWN by 4%!
