The most amazing professor I have ever had. I lost hope in the 4 years that I was at York because I was taught the same Marxist rhetoric in all my classes. But he flipped the entire subject on its head and it was truly inspiring. For the best learning experience of your undergrad TAKE HIS COURSE I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!!

This class will change your outlook. It has a strong empirical base, and it will teach you to think for yourself! Nizan is a great professor with a radical view of political economy. Don't be surprised if he quotes and relates literature in every class. This professor is willing to invest in his and go beyond the call of duty!

His class really is life changing. It's not easy so be prepared to work. If you do put in the effort it's well worth it. He's an amazing professor - incredibly smart, but down to earth and really funny. I am so glad I took his class.

Best prof I've had in university! Nitzan is passionate about what he teaches and it shows. But more than that, its contagious! A truly life-changing class; a promise Nitzan makes good on! Not used lightly - this course will alter your world view. Nitzan is an absolutely fantastic lecturer, also very down to earth and helpful. Course was invaluable in preparing me for graduate research. Take the empirical component of the course seriously and you will be rewarded ten-fold - not just in marks but with a lifelong skill. Best Professor I have had so far not just at York, but at the University Level in General. His research is groundbreakingly unique and radical which explains why he is somewhat marginalized from the mainstream. He does however lean somewhat to the left. In his defence however he is critical (but not cynical) and non-ideological.

Amazing prof! He will destroy most of your "categories". His views are so profound and radical (neither marxist or liberal/conservative). He is quite easy too since there's little work in the class. He is a political economist (probably the only one at york). No other prof can compares to him in terms knowledge based on empirical research.
