With this professor, you don't need to think twice you should defiantly take him. I've had really hard design classes and his work are-smooth. everything is online. He is one of those professors who loves his job and you can tell since he cares for students you won't regret taking him and ask him questions he helps you and sincerely cares

Comment:

Excellent professor, I don't know where I'd be as a future designer without his inspiration. It is a lot of work as the first few projects require creating a whole process manual, but they have really helped me master the entire design process. Provides feedback for everything and overall is a great teacher, would recommend.

This professor is amazing. He works well with his students, provides clear feedback on designs and is willing to go above and beyond to help his students achieve their goals. He is a funny professor, great interpersonal skills, and has clear grading criteria. One of the best professors I've had.

I had him for Gphd 25 & 30. He gives a lot of work, but if you're willing to ask for help, he can be extremely helpful. So ask! He's very knowledgeable, but can be unclear a lot of the time & it drives people batty, but he does it on purpose because most clients are like that & he's only trying to prepare & train you for what's ahead.

Very nice & understanding, but not the best design instructor. He should be an art instructor-awesome illustrator. Can be unclear and disorganized when it comes to assignments. Into busy work and not enough time & effort spent on the actual design portions. Doesn't really push your design capabilites, just constantly keeps you working like a dog.

Nice guy, but not the greatest of instructors. He doesn't do a very good job of explaining the reasons behind assignments, he just assigns them and expects you to glean the lesson from it. He spends too much time on busy work which takes away from the creativity. You're burned out and hating design by the time you're finished. Wouldn't recommend.

one of the best teachers i have had in my time at CSUS. helpful, kind, but HONEST, which is very important in this field. he is not a pushover, but he is very willing to help if you're willing to work. my favourite teacher in the whole program, he should be full time!
