Dr. Jon is one of the best professors I have had at GVSU. He genuinely cares about each of his students as people and wants us to succeed both in the classroom and beyond. Make sure you go to class, pay attention and read the books in order to participate in discussion. Be ready to be put in groups day 1 and stay in them all year.

I love this man! This is his last year teaching, so please take him if you can! Has so many great stories to tell and is well-rounded in every way. He wants the best for his students. Does not assign too many papers or tasks, just asks that you work well in a group setting and give your greatest effort. He is very wise and thoughtful.

Dr. Jon is the best man and professor that I have ever met. He is so passionate and intelligent when it comes to his work and he truly wants you to succeed. It's difficult to make students interested in his topics (at least for me) but he managed to do it anyways. I would absolutely take him again!

I'll just be echoing past comments on here, but one of the most dedicated professors a university could ever have. Truly wants students to succeed, and his background in the field contributes to what you would want out of the "traditional college lecture". Three tests, bases some questions off the book so it's helpful to get it!
