Professor Chesebro truly cares about his students and goes out of his way to be helpful. I've seen people make the mistake of mistaking his kindness for being a pushover when it comes to enforcing attendance policies or grading. Do your work, participate in class discussions and be respectful and you'll do fine!

Honestly, he's not a bad person. He contradictions his logic often and acts like his the OPRAH of teaching. His tactics may seem helpful but god forbid if you actual need consideration for having a hard semester. I would just indulge his annoying nature and do what's required. Just expect a lot of contradictions when grading comes around.

Joe is one of those professors who simply cares. You can tell the minute he opens his mouth how passionate he is about teaching and his students. He's an overall great guy. His enthusiasm and excitement always shines through in any class he teaches as nowadays that's a rarity in a lot of the classrooms. He lives to teach!!

Joe is a great guy who treats his students with a lot of respect. His class was the most useful one I ever took in college, it really prepared me for life after school. The readings were interesting, and he has pop quizzes for almost every one, but if he basically tells you everything that will be on them and allows you to use notes, Great class

Dr. Chesebro really is just a great all-around guy. He's totally fair and really his main concern is that you do well in his class. Definitely buy the book- they're usually easy reads and he'll quiz you on it. He's fair and he knows a lot about what he's talking about. Plus he loves music so you can always distract class with talking about his band

From what I have observed his passion for educating others keeps him motivated. I thoroughly enjoyed having Dr. Chesebro as a professor. He outlines everything you should know, everything you need to do to understand the material and takes questions every day. There are reading assignments once a week or once every two weeks. Read the chapter AND listen to his podcasts they outline EVERYTHING. They are super amusing it's a fun way to learn he puts everything into real-life context.

Joe is a an insanely smart and friendly guy. He takes somewhat boring material and makes it understandable and kind of fun. I went to office hours once and he spent 45 minutes going over my questions about the class material. 45 minutes! Lots of material is covered, the tests are on the difficult side but nothing too bad. Highly recommended.

I don't think that Joe has a mean bone in his body! Having him both as a teacher an advisor is great. He is a great learning and really cares about his students. He has an interesting way of communicating his material but it works. My favorite teacher so far!!
