Assigned seating chart. Seriously. If not in seat 5 min after class started then you are absent. 3 absences costs you a letter grade. Was more focused on the minutiae of controlling his students than educating them. Really just sought to be a dictator in the classroom. Not engaging or good with students.

I really liked this teacher. He doesn't seem like it, but he's really funny and keeps the class interesting. I learned the hard way that you HAVE to use your book for his tests, otherwise you'll get a C on his exams. Overall, this class was enjoyable!

Great class for it being at night. flows very well and you can pass with ease. the only thing I did not like was that he wants you to participate but has a tendency to cut people off when you do so.

I took the course Marital Adjustment with Dr. Critelli and it was honestly life changing. We learned so much about how to have successful relationships and all the information was enticing. The course is very organized and very easy to make a good grade if you come to class, take detailed notes and watch the videos.

Class is not really exciting at all and for the first half of class we always watched some type of outdated movie. But it was easy and if attend every class you get a lot of extra points. I didn't even have to take the final and I made an A.

Comment:

Dr. Critelli is a great and funny professor. I took marital adjustment (sounds boring), as a psychology elective and ended up valuing this class more than any other I have taken. Dr critelli makes you leave the class feeling like you have learned Another secret to life and relationships. He makes a 3hr class worthwhile!

It can be hard to sit through 3 hours at a time, but he breaks it into sections, which helps a lot (video/discussion/lecture). As long as you take notes in class, and make sure to read the chapters you can't make a bad grade in here. There are only 3 grades - 2 exams + points for attendance. Exams are entirely True/False.

Take this class if you need a relatively easy advanced elective. There are two tests (both 50 questions, true/false), and if you take them both, then you can skip the final. No papers. You need to read the textbook, but not many test questions come from it. He gives bonus points if you attend. As long as you look over your notes, you'll do well.

I took him for sexual behaviour in the Spring and I had him for marital adjustment in the Fall. Clearly I enjoyed him. In the sexual behaviour class he was really, really dry, but it wasn't hard for me to pay attention and take notes. His TA would post a review which was LOADS of help. I'd recommend him. :)

I had him for marital adjustment and sexual beh. and loved it. He's very funny and makes everything easy to understand. The class consists of 3 tests and if you're happy with the first two grades you don't have to take the 3rd test. He assigns seats and If you're in your seat, you get a bonus point. The bonus points raised my grade from a B to an A

I have had two classes with him, and he makes it very easy to learn the material. His class can be dull at times, but also very humorous and enjoyable as he likes to take comments from the class. He also has experience as a graduate advisor and is willing to give advice. Overall, good teacher and both marital adj. and sexuality were interesting.

Great professor, gotta go to class as a lot of videos are watched and he tests on the content of the videos. Gives bonus points, does exam review. He is interesting and its always funny watching a little Italian man talk about content of sexual nature. Take this class, it's fun.

Dr. Critelli taught the most interesting class of the fall semester for me (Marital Adjustment). His lectures are structured very well, he gets through the information at a good speed, gives bonus points, and treats students like equals. Tests consist mostly of lecture material, so going is a must even though it isn't required. Great professor!

Marital Adjust- The class was very challenging because we only had two test grades, if you do the book review and study the lecture notes you should be fine. He knows his information and gives out bonus points, as well as curves on tests. He shows a lot of videos and gives plenty of time for questions.

STAY AWAY!! He doesnt give reviews for his exams, the entire class is based on class opinions however when being tested he doesnt test you on opinions he tests you and book lecture and some stuff thats neither book nor lecture that he expects you to find on your own. So unless you like a low GPA stay away

He's a decent prof. Treats you like an adult and expects you to act like one. Go to class, because 70% of the test is stuff from class that is not in the book. He does curve. I recommend reviewing the book, but no need to stress on it. Really pay attention to your notes. He has some interesting things to say. Class was pretty fun most days.

He's an overall good prof. Doesn't require you to attend class but I highly recommend that you do since 80% of the test is from class and he doesn't lecture along with the book. Lectures are well organized and easy to understand.

I loved Critelli. There are only 3 tests throughout the whole semester and if you pass the 1st two with A's you don't need to take the final. He offers chances to do extra credit too. By simply going to class and paying attention you can get a pretty decent grade. The class is pretty interesting so it's not that hard to stay interested.
