Great prof, super caring which is a nice change. He is clear when it comes to assignments, and if you need help DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK. He answers emails and questions quickly which is quite helpful. I would definitely recommend taking his classes.

Wow! Nicest teacher ever! Super helpful if you ask for help. I knew nothing about computer science but he explained everything so I could understand html and python. I had him for a multi-mode class so he did all of the online lessons. Lots of material to keep up with, so don't take this course if you have other classes with heavy course loads.

One of the best Comp Sci teachers here at Capilano University. He inspired me to follow my passion and realize that i had a great talent for webdesign and web programming. Joseph is willing to help and genuinely wants all his students to succeed. The class work is great practice as all the labs and assignments prepare you for real word application

I really enjoyed this class, there was a lot of work (little assignments, projects, readings, tutorials) but it all payed off and helps you learn the material. He can be very helpful if you ask and his Moodle site was very well laid out (good thing since he's a comp sci teacher). I would recommend this as a science elective for people who need one!

Great prof. Friendly, approachable, knows what he's doing, and always there to help. You can tell he's really dedicated to what he does and genuinely wants his students to do well. Lots of assignments but it's easy to do well if you keep up.

Only part of this class I enjoyed was HTML (but that's cause I already knew it and got 100%). Excel was fine, but my head exploded once we hit Python. Most useless programming language ever. I just completely stopped trying at this point. Joseph is a great teacher, though. Just this course was a total waste of time for me.

He is the best teacher i've ever seen in Vancouver.He is easy-going and hard-working. Whenever i got questions, he would answer me once he had time. As the comments here, he is an excellent teacher! But his assignments and tutorials can drive you crazy!( lots of them). You will get the feeling like you can breathe when doing those work.

You know what? He is the teacher who made me to change my major to Computer (or computing) Science. He is very easy-going and ALWAYS answers the students' question whenever he's available. It's unfortunate that Cap College doesn't teach 2nd year level Computing Science courses anymore. I'll miss him a lot. (I mean it! A LOT!!! I love ya! Joseph!)

He is simply best teacher I've ever had. He gives up his lunch time to answer your question even if the question is rather silly and stupid. What's very special about him is he is very organized AND easy going at the same time which is very hard thing to achieve. Difficulty of assign. and exam are medium.
