I really enjoyed his class. He was extremely helpful! A lot of people complain that he is a harsh grader, but I think that's just the excuse lazy people use. He definitely helped me improve on my writing.

A good professor. Knows the stuff and teaches well but a bit hard on grading. At the start of the semester he will allow you do work which you previously get a C or worse in so that you will improve it. but as the semester goes on he will withdraw those previleges. Lot of work. I work so hard and ended up with a B. This is not an easy A class.

Prof. Horobetz is wonderful. Even though he is a picky grader, but he has an ability to make his students learn how to write. No homework, not too many essays, he will give you a lot of time to work on your essays. I learned a lot of new stuffs in his class. He is funny and nice!!!

I am finishing his class with about a B or B+. His quizzes(only 5) are very fair & gives lots of practice before u take the quiz. Homework is easy only readings in your book(not long) The readings for HW will be the topic for the papers you write in class.He's always willing to help, very nice, understanding. Great teacher to have. fair effort RQ'd

Hard hard grader, but nice adn takes the time out to talk to his students..alot of papers. a few grammar quizzes. i took his class and got a C-D on all his papers did some re-dos and bombed most of the grammar quizzes but passed w. a C. only take if ur willing to put time and effort in. otherwise dont take!

Prof. H. is a really nice guy, frequently available during office hours and glad to see students visiting him during office hours. But he isnt an easy grader. Dont take it if you're lazy to work for an A. *Note* turn off all cellphones and no chitchatting during his lectures. An angel in lectures, a devil when grading...

I enjoyed taking his class. He is one of the BEST professors for English 111-009. There are many writing/essay assignments but they are NOT hard. Come to class, do your work, and you will more then likely pass his class. Really nice professor,help a lot and is always available for office hours!

Every essay is crucial in this class. He is a very hard and picky grader. We wrote a LOT OF PAPERS this semester. There are quizzes too not to mention there is a final which takes 2 days to complete. He's a nice guy and willing to help you out if you go this office hours, but be warned if you aren't ready to write don't take this class.
