Comment:

One of my favorite people I have met at UMBC, in and out of class. Cares about her students. She may be confusing, but devotes all of her time to help you so just ask. Tells you everything that will be on exams, drops quizzes, gives extra credit if you ask, is willing to preview your work before you turn it in, etc. What more could you ask for?

Sparling is fantastic. Don't be fooled by what is written here--she DEFINITELY knows her stuff and is one of the tops in her field... but I can see her getting frustrated teaching 121. She likes to help you one on one. She is remarkably kind and helpful, but can be tough. If you put up the effort, she'll do her best to meet you halfway.

Great teacher! She is always ready to help you in any way she can. She makes exams very predictable and not difficult at all. She basically goes by the book. Though this is difficult material to understand, she breaks it down as best she can.

Very good Prof. and very nice. Have had her for 2 classes, and if you go to her, she will help you in any way she can. Lectures sometimes get a little confusing, but if you follow along with the textbook, you will have no problems. If I had a choice, I would definitely choose her for a prof.

She makes a hard subject even more confusing with her lectures. She seems very disorganized, but I can tell she knows her stuff, just her teaching style needs a lot of improvement. She tries her best to help the students though. If you can, get Worchesky instead.

She is a great teacher if you pay attention. And she is EXTREMELY helpful and will do everything to help you succeed. You do have to learn the material, but 121 is a hard class no matter who you take it with.

She is impossible! She could take her her test in an hour and have a hard time. She is very nice, but often gets lost in her own explanation. It should be calc based physics, not a problem that involves a spring with about 15 diff prob substitutions in it
