Accounting will always be hard. He is very in depth about the concepts of accounting but quizzes are really hard because accounting is such an extensive course to try and memorize everything.

I took him for honors accounting 101. His class is relatively easy if you put enough effort to read the book and take decent notes. Class is based off 5 quizzes, the final, and a big group project. Most classes are discussion based and I hardly ever paid attention. Pretty laid back guy who tells lots of stories that take him off topic.

Professor Larkin is a great man. He makes the class laugh and engages his students to not lose focus. He wants everyone to succeed. He relates accounting to real world situations which helps a lot. There is a lot of homework but if you work hard you will be fine in the class. Overall, I would take Larkin again.

Dr. Larkin is so caring! He is the department chair and teaches very few class(es) so he was very focused on my class. He loves what he does.. He makes class interesting and understands that it's a dry subject. There's only quizzes in this class; only test is the final. He loves Undecided majors because he wants to sway them into Accounting.

Dr. Larkin is such a sweet man. I took him for honors ACC 101 & 102. Homeworks are online, easy 100. In class quizzes but you take it on Connect on your own laptop. He teaches with powerpoints sometimes and sometimes just talks to us. He gets very side-tracked and we'll end up having a class discussion about nothing related to accounting. Take him!

Do not take Larkin if you could help it.Says test are easy but still almost impossible to get an good grade and it was clear other students were having the same problem. Material was all over the place so many errors that he counstantly change solutions and power points.Teacher is horrible! Take Professor Tanzola

really nice guy. Financial Acct is really boring but he tries to make class interesting. Its hard and you'll definately have to study and work for an A, but he makes it simpler and easier to understand. I definately recommend him!

He was a very nice guy, had many corny jokes that he wanted you to laugh at. He gives pop quizes to scare you but never counts them. He is not the best teacher to explain things. If there were no SI sessions I would not be doing so great. Doesn't give much work but he doesn't teach that well unless you go to SI sessions.

Larkin is a nice guy, very clear, uses helpful examples to explain difficult concepts and is very fair. His powerpoints are actually very useful. Attendance is not mandatory because its not taken every day but if you dont go to class you will be lost. So basically go to class, go to SI, pay attention and do homework and you'll do fine.

I generally disliked this guy very much. He teaches to make himself feel better. We had a large class and I dont think he was equiped to deal with that. Accountings boring so I dont blame that on him. Easy final if you know your basics. I got an A with out really trying too hard. Try to get a different teacher, hes not worth the frustation.

Was really scared of accounting before this class - he was great! Made it easy to understand, doesn't expect you to go run your own firm after this - just the basics. As good/fun/interesting a "numbers" man as you could hope for.

Dr. Larkin is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is so nice and a very approachable man. He is very down to earth. You will do well on all of his tests if you read the chapters, take notes in class on the power point print outs and go to the SI sessions! Accounting is not as hard as it seems.
