Comment:

If you have not taken calc before do not take her! She assumes everyone in her class has already taken calc and knows what they are doing. She doesn't explain anything well and she just copies her notes on the board every class. Says she gives partial credit but takes off 4/5 points for making a small mistake. In general, not a very good teacher.

Comment:

Gives only two tests, which have a huge effect on your grade. Tons of homework that is strictly graded, which can also bring your grade down. She just reads her notes aloud and does examples on the board.

She's fine as far as math profs go. A lot of students clearly aren't prepared for math or prepared to work hard at it, but thats not really her fault. She certainly doesn't spare your ego, but she's a decent teacher and you will learn what you need to learn.

Genuinely is a horrible professor, worst I've ever had. Gives no help to those who need it, provides excessive amounts of homework that doesn't relate to the weekly quizzes, and doesn't actually explain the material. Basically assumes everyone already knows calc. Many people who have taken calc in HS have had to drop, including myself. DO NOT TAKE!

Here's the truth about Bobo: despite all of the bad reviews, she is not that bad. Where she is good is she provides a practice test before each exam which is very similar to the real deal. Other than that she is just weird. She always gets sidetracked whenever she is doing a problem and she doesn't really explain it too well.

She also told me to go to the Office of Learning Disabilities for math help. I do not have a disability because if I did, I would not be in a four year University. I would have been put into a special needs program for that. She enjoys provoking students's heads.

When I ask her for additional help, she said that "you need a lot of tutoring in basic mathematical skills". I said "I know you want me to succeed as much as I do". She does not care about me or other students. She enjoys failing students, that makes her happy. Something is going on in her personal life on why she comes to work doing this to kids!

This professor is very terrible at teaching Differential Calculus, as well as other math classes she is teaching. She just writes the answers to the problems on the board ans does not explain how she got the answer. She is also very disrespectful to me when I ask her I needed additional help, since I did not have Calculus in high school.

Two weeks in and her class is making me want to rip my hair out. The homework, well its as if I was given Chinese homework - its all nonsense that I have never seen in her class. Oh by the way, she's one of those "grades homework for correctness not effort" bs, which would be great if she properly taught the material in class

This class was ridiculous. I learned the material through the 5,000 homeworks, exams, and quizzes due every five seconds, not from her at all. She did not teach this class at all, she just let the book's website do her job. To say she was not very helpful when addressing your concerns is an understatement. Avoid taking her for this class if you can

With a previous background in calc, this class will make a lot more sense. She is passionate about the subject, but is not clear in her lectures and explanations. There are opportunities to see her before/after class if you have questions. She is slow to responding to emails. Do the homework for easy grades. Overall, would take again.

Unless you have a previous background in calculus, this class will be very tough. She makes everything way more complicated than it has to be. The tests are difficult and she takes many points off for minor mistakes. I did well in the class, but it took an immense amount of effort, even with taking calculus the previous year in HS. Don't recommend

Worst teacher ever. If you havent taken calc, good luck because you wont understand anything as she is just a terrible teacher. Even if you pay attention she just doesnt explain any of the information well enough. Also her review sheets are the most basic versions of problems on the midterm, so chances are you won't know how to do the problems.

She seems like she's going to be a good teacher the first few days but she isn't that great of a teacher. Luckily I took calc senior year of highschool and had all my notes, but for kids who hadn't taken it they were lost. She doesn't understand that to some kids calc is very complicated and thinks everyone should just understand it like her.
