Dr. Laurino is an excellent professor! He's fun and throws in some interesting/random facts. Puts his slides on Bb prior to class. Textbook is unnecessary. Exams are fair. Alot of memorization required as with all biochem classes. Very helpful. I definitely recommend him!

The class is fairly easy, it isnt too big and he goes at a normal pace. the tests are easy enough as long as you do the homework problems.

Personally I loved his class. it was an honors class so it was small. very fast paced but he had huge curves on his tests. if you did your homework at some point before the test you can defiantly pass with a B. he is a really nice guy and always willing to help.

He's nice enough, but goes at a really fast pace. If you don't know the material ahead of time, you may get left behind. Luckily, before taking this intro class, I had taken AP Chem, and was ahead of the game. Otherwise, I might not be doing so well...

This professor is not really that good. His exams are inappropriately long. He is not that friendly... not very approachable.

He doesn't know how to teach! I don't even attend class just because I'd rather read the book and do the problems at home! His tests are real hard, but as long as you know the material you can solve it out. The test is sooooooo freaking long that it's impossible to finish in the time given. It's basically critical thinking type questions, hard but help prepare you for higher classes! BUT STILL take another professor if given a chance

Hahaha, we all love Dr. Laurino, he's fun. But you do have to study a lot on your own if you are taking his classes. Lalalala Miss Martian. (ps. He's never in the office so that's something bad, but he provides help when he's in the office. :))

I don't reccomend the course at all. If you are looking for an intellectually stimulating course this is NOT it. The semester consisted of two exams and student presentations for the final month. This professor does not provide adequate feedback on assignments. I was thorougly dissopointed that this class even was given the Honors distiction.

This class is very challenging and requires a lot of outside class time. There is a lot of memorization in this course. He goes fast and expects you to keep up. Be prepared to teach yourself a lot of the concepts. Overall, I learned a lot.

I am in awe about how much I learned in Biochem this semester. Dr. Laurino is one of the smartest people I know and does a great job relaying his knowledge to his students. He was so helpful in and out of class and had alot of patience with people asking questions. He also has a good sense of humor.
