Joseph McGrellis has since passed away this last semester. He was an inspiring professor that taught like a football coach. If you wanted to excel he would give you all of the help in the World. He possessed an unfathomably amazing grasp of Microbiology. God rest his soul.

He takes a extremely diff subject and tries to use examples and fun ways to talk about unfun stuff. But I agree with most people he is cocky and makes people feel stupid when they ask stuff, not to mention when in the middle of asking questions he interrupts and doesnt let finish. But i bet he's way better than any other micro teacher at ACCC!

In regards to the other comments, Dr. Mcgrellis is a great professor who only will become irritated with you if you ask ridiculous questions. His lectures are interesting, lab is easy and he is helpful if you have a relative question. He also will stay after lab and help his students who are WILLING to put in the extra effort.

He is a great teacher with a great sense of humor. He is hard though, as long as you listen and take notes, and do your objectives you will pass. My only problem with his tests is that he uses many trick questions! Read carefully or you will fail! Overall great teacher and takes time to help you when needed.

I love school but this was by far the worst professor I have ever had. He is down right rude to his students. He is above answering any questions and gets quite annoyed if you ask any. The last time I checked I was paying for my education. It is his job to answer questions. Most people failed his exam and he seemed happy about it. Hated this class!

McGrellis is very knowledgable. His lectures give you all the info needed for exams. Listen to examples to apply to exam problems.Attendance not mandatory, but be there is you want a good grade.Best advice to give: buy a digital recorder and use it for every class!

This is a college class, not high school. You are expected to know something about the subject and behave in a certain way. He does answer questions politly; I have never seen him ridicule anyone in or out of class.however he doesn't have a lot of patience for people that speak when he's lecturing. Don't take him if you don't want to learn.

One of the more difficult classes I have ever taken, but I got an A. He is a good Prof, but he teaches on an advanced level/pace. Keep your eye on your grades though. He is not very organized. Kind of an absent minded Prof!

I thought his class was quite boring and if you ask hima question he is always on the defensive. His test are impossible to pass and his gives a 10 page biology research paper that literally took me and a couple of friends to do it over winter break.
