I'm a 1997 graduate of Q.U.. I consider Mr. Messina one of the best professors at the university, not only for his knowledge and professionalism, but also for his passion and dedication to literature. He did expect attendance (and punctuality) for his classes but he always made his discussions enjoyable. A true scholar.

Probably no more knowledgeable professor in any of the subjects he teaches. Whether it be Shakespeare, Chaucer or early texts. No one is more passionate about the subject matter either.

Really good proffesor for my Latin class. All you had to do was do the homework and you got an A basically, and some people couldn't even do that! And you definitely know who didn't do the homework, so it's a must.
