Prof Joe is all over the place. Most of his lectures don't make sense, and his homeworks are pretty confusing. He also is never responds to emails. If you have questions you better go to office hours because there is no other way to get a hold of him. I wouldn't take him if I had a choice.

I have had Phillips twice, great teacher. You do have to work and participate, but we are in college, that's the point. Do your homework, show up, and study a little. He will help you along the way. Very nice guy.
