I've had him for Human Disease, Concepts of Assessment, and Needs of the Aging. He assigns lots of homework and papers and his exams are hard. You need to stay on top of your work. But, he is very nice and a great teacher. You can learn a lot from him.

Fantastic advisor and professor. You must be self-motivated to get the most out of his classes. His real life experience makes class fun and interesting. Do study for exams and ask questions if you have them. He treats students like adults and his classes are a great way to prepare for graduate studies! My favorite professor ever, and role model.

Spends more time off topic than on. I timed this over 3 weeks. 1/3 of each class was lost to repetitive personal stories. Homework consists of pointless busywork that does nothing to reinforce course concepts. Demands writing in APA format and then does not follow the APA manual. Refuses to admit this, even when shown the manual.

Bark is tougher than his bite. Reads off slides a lot, gives busy work, but exams and quizzes are easy. Truly tries to reach out to his students and will bend over backwards to help anyone who seeks it.
