I took Dr. Jones for Physics 101 and 102. I also took her 101 lab. She is amazing. She seems hard and her tests are tricky. But she wants the students to succeed and she will help you out. In both courses, she gave the class an optional midterm exam that would replace your lowest test grade! This saved my grade - twice! Take her!!! You won't regret

Jones was my lab professor for 102 but she's a big reason why I passed 102 lecture. She taught subjects with clarity and even met with me a few times during her office hours to help me better grasp understanding of physics topics. I'm sure she's excellent in her lectures as well.

Great teacher. Can be confusing at times but she is extremely helpful. If you get lost go to her office hours and she will make sure you get it. She gives extra credit at the end if you do the homework!

Dr. Jones's splendid; she provides an abundance of materials on each critical concept of physics and gives more than enough opportunity to boost your grade and seek personal office time help. Lectures & labs are well prepared & I imagine she genuinely loves her job; highly recommended!

Comment:

Dr. Jones was my intro to Physics professor & my research advisor (once I switched majors to Physics). She challenged me and inspired me. I am proud of her for her dedication to Physics educationand for her dedication to CofC's NAACP and Women in Science chapters. She is an exceptional person and a solid teacher. Some things don't come from books.

Dr. Jones is a good teacher, but sometimes flighty and confused on what she is explaining. Multiple choice questions are purposely confusing on tests. Problems on test are either the same as homework or completely from left field: no in between. Drops lowest test grade & quiz grade, which helps.

Dr Jones is great...Easy grader - if you're willing to put in the effort you can re-do most anything just ask! She just cares we learn the material which is pretty straight forward in itself. She does some cool research so ask if you want to get in on that!

Had her for both 101 and 102. Loved her! If you don't plan on furthering your career in physics or if you don't have a good background...take her! Don't listen to the losers who failed her class...she goes out her way to help you and she really cares.

Very nice teacher, gives really easy quizzes. Tests are easy if you understand the material, she even takes questions from hw sometimes. Overall if you want to make an A in physics take her. If you want a more interesting teacher take someone else.

She would make a good high school teacher, but she is a TERRIBLE college prof. Physics is so interesting, yet she manages to dumb it down enough that it just becomes boring. I just wish she would challenge students. If want an easy A, then take her. If you want to learn physics or prepare for MCAT, then either read the text or take someone else.

Dr. Jones devotes a LOT of her own time to making sure everyone knows what's going on in class. She tries to keep class fun and is the only physics teacher that doesn't use that awful online homework. She always grades your papers and leaves lots of comments to explain what you're doing wrong. Tests are easy if you do her practice problems.

Brilliant. I love Dr. Jones. She's fun, nice, and extremely intelligent on the subject of physics. She grades all homework by hand, and makes notes on your paper, which is very helpful in understanding physics. She is more than willing to help anyone who needs it, and has flexible office hours. I recommend her to all.
