I went into this class feeling good because I have had 3 years of religious classes. After going to class for a few weeks, I wanted to leave. I didn't want to use up one of my drops so early, but I had to. I do NOT recommend this class to anyone unless you have a SOLID background in religious classes. This is NOT a class for freshman!!

Horrible! He is incredibly boring. He makes things more difficult than they need to be. Tests are incredibly hard. Most boring man on earth. Pure suffering. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!

hard class to take at 8am cause all it it is lectures, but hes always willing to help and will give you some slack if you need it. theres only 2 tests, a paper and a final. its a really easy class if you go on a regualr basis.

Attendance policy is strict, but he'll make exceptions sometimes. Tests can be hard, but if you pay attention in class, they are alot easier. Very helpful, trust me, I slept through his exam once.

The only problem is his attendence policy. It took me a little while to get used to his style of teaching, but he's very clear when you get used to how he teaches religion classes. Exams are rough, but if you study you'll do fine.

His attendance policy is strict. But as long as you go to class and go to the review, you will do fine! I managed to get an A on his tests, so they are not that bad. The secret: go to his reviews and ask him exactly what he wants for the terms on the review sheet! i would definitely take him again!

We NEVER had any idea what he was talking about when he lectured during this class. It spawned a TON of study groups to achieve a decent grade. He's really nice just hard to follow.

This is the hardest class i have ever taken. The exams are incrediably hard and worth 75% of your grade. Takes attendance, is boring, and needs to retire. Do not take him unless you want to suffer for the semester.

He is a really nice guy, though his lectures have a tendecy to get boring. His testing is a tad bit difficult but extremely fair and he tells you what to study and provides review sessions. If you are interested in the subject Powell is a great professor. If not class might be a tad bit boring.

Nice guy. It is a difficult class and take it if you want a challenge. However, if you take notes, study the material you will be fine. If you ask him about something that he doesn't go over, he will get you the information. I liked the class and would take another course from him.

Boring, hard, tests are difficult, pure lecture. Even if u go into class ready to pay attention, you cant. Takes attendence, (u can miss 3) gives 2 tests, final, a paper. Tests: matching-not clear; MC-super hard (ex: if not A but B and C); and 3 essays. do not get him, just take it some other time.
