Compared to every other professor who's used D2L, she's very good. Assignments posted every week with clear deadlines. Each week are new activities, usually an assignment, reading, and D2L discussion. Never have to do the reading since there's no tests.

Comment:

Very unclear with assignments. She is always changing her mind on things and is confusing. You learn almost nothing about journalism and more about grammar, going over the same thing each class. Wish I took another professor since I actually was considering a journalism minor, but she completely ruined it for me.

Comment:

Anderson was the most disorganized and scatterbrained professor in the English department. She constantly would go off track and would ramble for the entire lecture time. Additionally, she was HIGHLY unorganized and would not provide deadlines or a clear syllabus. Did not learn ANYTHING about journalism or how to improve my writing.

I thought it would be beneficial to my career, I thought I would learn InDesign... but we spent most of it focusing on grammar that I learned in middle school. I wasted my time by being in class 90% of the time. She acts like she's in a Broadshow not a classroom. This class was awful.

She doesn't know what to do when a paper isn't due. You go through a bunch of basic English. There is 4 or 5 assignments that are pretty easy. Defiantly take online if you don't want to feel like your wasting your time and money. All the projects take maybe an hour to do at most .

Like a lot of other have said, she treats the class like children. My interest in the class was very high, and I thought it would be beneficial to my career, but we spent most of it focusing on grammar that I learned in middle school and early high school. Favorite teacher I had this semester. She was very nice and was always happy to help. Lots of writing, but she gives you a fair amount of time to finish. You use the textbook a lot and you use it to edit your own papers to bring your grade up.

I have Dr.Anderson for English Comp right now and honestly, she is so scatter brained! I asked her a question about one of the assignments and she basically just beated around the bush instead of giving me a straight answer...oh & have fun with the Influencing Machine (you need to know that) oh & she calls on you if you don't raise your hand.

Professor Anderson is a really nice lady. Sometimes her assignments get really confusing because she tries to describe what to do in so much detail, that you get confused and what you actually have to do becomes vague. It is good to see her during her office hours sometimes to actually figure out what she really wants in a paper.

I took her english comp class and she is a reall good teacher. she def knows what she is talking about. she is a professional editor. her class is very clear but very challenging. You write an essay/paper about every 3 weeks-month. It teaches you a lot. I highly recommend this class.

Probably the worst professor ever. She talks to you as though you're five. She also refuses to admit when she makes a mistake (She said Webster's Dictionary was wrong) and will not change grades to your benefit when she does make a mistake. When you ask her a question, she just stares at you as though you've grown a few extra heads.

Killllll me please! Anderson is a nice prof, and very helpful, but the class is SO DAMN BORING. I can't handle it. I wouldn't take this if you aren't a business major, like me...it's even more boring for non-business majors. But the class is an easy A if you do the work, and you make a resume too so that's always a bonus. Overall easy, but BORRRING

Echoign ohters here... talks to you liek you're 12. This is not a hard class, but you will be frustrated. Micro-managing style... asks you to "be more technical" and then argues with you about topics she is unaware of.
