Good professor with a hell of a speaking voice. I didn't do all that well in the class, but that was my fault, not hers; she did do a good job of introducing people to a history essay for the first time as well. Generally good, but nothing particularly special about the class.

She was glorious and definitely my favourite prof thus far. She knew her stuff and even though she was not outwardly passionate about it, the passion was woven into her easy to follow lectures. I highly recommend her class for any history nerd.

Ridiculous expectations for a first year class. She's very smart but she knows it, and she makes students feel stupid for asking questions. Unless you want to work hard and do horribly, I recommend dropping her class.

She mumbles way too much at the beginning and end of her lectures and I find myself lost. If someone asks a question or asks something that she already said she acts like its a crime and pretty much makes fun of them in front of the class. I dont know if its her been British that makes her rude but either way its inappropriate.

She told us that she doesn't even read student emails anymore. She acts like everyone with a question is stupid. Marks ridiculoudly difficulty and doesn't give higher than a B, and it's REALLY hard to get even that.

Took HI101 with her and decided to take 102 for the heck of it. She knows how to teach, give her that. She's an excellent way for 1st years to adjust to university. Got rather bored after a while and she picks the most boring materials to read of all time.

she runs her classes like a boot camp. but of course it makes her one of those profs that you learn an incredible amount from....as long as you're ready to take notes like crazy and be late for your next class

Excellent powerpoint presentations, very clear and interesting lectures. Her lectures are like mini-essays, and you can pretty much tell what questions are going to be on the midterm/final by the questions posed at beginning of lectures. If you are having trouble with an essay, go see her. She will pretty much tell you exactly what to write.

You will either love her or hate her. But for me, she is by far my favourite prof at WLU. Lorimer is knowledgeable and funny. She is intimidating but go and see her and she will tell you exactly what to write in your essay.

Can not stand this prof. There hasn't been a lady that i've hated more than her. The way she talked about other students behind their backs drove me nuts. Sure she knew her stuff..but only if she could teach what she knew then she would be set.

Very interesting class, and you can tell that she knows her stuff. Its very inconvenient and annoying that I have to retrieve her notes from the X Drive. Though is it just me or does she sound like the little worm from the film "Labyrinth"? Not a criticism, actually its probably why I like her.

Jekyll/Hydish. Interesting and engaging lectures. Office hours a problem - not there as posted or too busy for you and tells you to come back later. I once sat there while she called tech services and discussed getting a bigger computer monitor! Then she greets you happily around campus.
