Comment:

Dr. Meyer has been one of my absolute favorite teachers at MSU! This course is full of relevant, important information. The course is a "geography" course so you will learn about rivers, mountains, and volcanoes but the main focus is in sustainability. She doesn't give much homework but be sure to do the few assignments she does give!

Comment:

Her National Parks class is either interesting or boring depending on your interest in national parks. If you like parks its an easy A. She doesn't use a textbook so show up to class. She has few assignments but has clear criteria for what she wants on assignments. There is a group project that she's a bit tough on. Solid choice to fill 3 credits.

The most important part of this class is being present for lectures. Her tests are just a combination of everything she says in class. There are lots of little assignments that add up in the long run so don't miss turning those in. She has very specific things she wants you to do so just follow her instructions and you will be fine.

Dr. Meyer is truly passionate about the subject she is teaching. I decided to make Geography my minor after having so many amazing teachers from this department that not only made the material exciting, but made you excited about learning it! Highly recommend!

Her class was very interesting and easy. As long as you go to class, take notes, and listen you will pass. Her tests come directly from her lectures/slides because there is no textbook. She isn't a tough grader. I received 100% on the semester project even though I submitted it late. She is a sweet and fun professor! I recommend!

Her lectures were always interesting and very easy to understand. Tests are easy if you just pay attention. You can tell she knows what shes talking about and that shes very passionate about teaching students what she knows. Lots of extra credit opportunities and any work you have to do is super easy. Definitely recommend.

Professor Meyer is one of the best I've ever had. Her class is fun and informative, and her expectations are very realistic. Show up to class, take notes, complete the few homework assignments and you'll receive an A. No textbook required. Reach out to her outside of class, she's incredibly helpful!

Great teacher. Learned not only stuff for the tests but some really interesting facts. Really smart teacher. Be respectful and attend class and she will be the best teacher you could have. Take the time to take decent notes, but spend more time actually listening to what she says.

Professor Meyer was a really good teacher. Her power points were clear and if you take notes right off the power point you will pass. She does not post them online so if you do not go to class you better make sure to get them from someone else in the class. This class will also be hard if you aren't knowledgeable on the subjects covered.

This class covers a broad range of information, so studying for the tests is a bit challenging. However, Dr. Meyer only writes exam questions directly from her lectures, so go to class! Although parts of this course are tough, Dr. Meyer is always willing to help and gives great feedback to assignments and emails. She also offers extra credit!

She is absolutely in love with what she does and her passion of geography shines through her lectures. Go to class, you wont regret it. She cracks jokes all the time, she is very easy to get along with, and she will help whenever you need it. The tests aren't too hard, a little studying is required but nothing in this class can be considered hard.

This was my favorite class this semester, which was surprising because I thought a geography course was going to be dull. However she made it super interesting and she is obviously passionate about the subject. She loves what she teaches and is super helpful. Tests are hard but passable, and there are tons of easy points to help. She also curves.

Dr. Meyer is amazing! She really loves teaching Geography and her lectures are very enthusiastic. She likes it when you actually participate in class, so speak up! Tests aren't too bad if you study and take good notes. I learned a great deal in this class, I would recommend it to anyone who has interest in geography.

One of the best professors I've ever had. She didn't come from the books. She worked in Yellowstone for years and knows her stuff. She's willing to work with you and communicates well. The tests are super easy if you go to class because they're based on lecture. I never opened the book except one time. She's the cool lady who loves the environment.

She is always prepared and her lectures are easy to follow.I suggest going to class bc the tests are based off of her lectures.You have one project but you could simply volunteer for a couple hours to get your points.The information is easy and her tests aren't hard if you look over the material the night before.
