Mrs. Pressler is an excellent teacher who really does a great job of getting you to think about the subject matter she presents. If given the chance to go back and choose whether I wanted to take this class knowing what it would be like I would definitely choose to take it.

I'm in the midst of her class, and though she's a very sweet lady, she doesn't seem to have it all together. She often goes on tangents and beats around the bush in order to come to her point. I'm doing very well so far, (an A), but I'm also doing every bit of work she assigns, which is a lot. Be prepared to learn on your own and work hard.

Tough to pay attention in a lecture class for 3 hours but she is still a good teacher on the whole. My lack of interest probably hurt me the most. Her quizes can be rough but she doesnt let those bad grades hurt u. Just do well on the tests.

Wonderful instructor, knows her material and really gets into it. Sometimes she talks too much and interupts the flow of class discussion, but other than that, outstanding.

If you are contemplating suicide, do not take this class. She will more than push you over the edge. She never shows up for tutoring, even when you plan it with her at a special time. She is unclear, vague, and extremely hard to deal with. You never get a straight answer out of her/no extra credit.

she is sooo boring and sometimes I feel like she barely understands the class. she looses her train of thought and will be silent for 5 minutes just tryin to figure out what to say. if you read the text and understand it you could make A's in this class.

Best teacher at UNCC! She is so adaptive to the general mood of the students at each class meeting, she keeps even boring topics interesting. Dr. Presler has been the bright spot in my first semester at UNCC. I can't think of another instructor I would like to take this class with.

Excellent professor, but only take this class if you have an interest in philosophy! She lectures and draws notes on the board the whole class, and I would imagine that would put you right to sleep if you don't care about philosophy. I personally thought she was great. Easy exams if you prepare.

This is probably the best philosophy professor at UNCC. If you disdain postmodern pseudo-philosophy, then you'll love her. Take her History of Ethical Theory course. She's a moral realist in the Platonic-Christian tradition. Not too easy; not too hard.

She is a good professor who expects homework to be done. Great for PHIL majors who want to know more about ancient philosophy. If you don't plan on doing work, don't take her courses. (Better yet, dont waste your time in school!)
