Comment:
She's confusing, disorganized, and unprepared; her teaching suffers. Perhaps she's too busy with self-promotion to plan for class or maybe she lacks classroom experience. Either way, she She is also defensive if you mention liking another teacher--as if you're making an insulting comparison.

Comment:
Dr. Sheppard is so frustrating. She's incredibly disorganized so you never know what's expected or when things are due. She constantly changes deadlines. Lectures are mostly her bragging on her own work. Feature writing really a hands-on learning process so lectures are boring and redundant. Scatterbrained class & frustrating prof.

Professor Sheppard was a wonderful professor. I took her for about four journalism classes and she was always very helpful. She truly wants you to become the best journalist you can be and will do whatever it takes to assist you in improving. Go meet with her in her office, she is a wonderful person to talk to...both in and out of class.

this class is from the pits of hell... she is very sweet, you just have to talk to her, and get to know her. dont take this class lightly, STUDY as soon as the semester starts. she can be a bit scatter brained at times, but just keep after her to stay on track.

I had her for feature writing this summer, and I learned so much in a six week period. I only wish I could have taken the class during a full semester because I felt things were a bit rushed. Dr. Shepherd is very helpful when you have questions, and because she has had so much experience in the field, she tells students everything they need to know

Well this class is just hard anyways but i enjoyed her. She is so nice and willing to answer any question that you might have. She is vague at times but you just have to keep badgering her until she tells you what she wants for the tests. STUDYYYY a lot!

The class is hard stuff because it's a lot to know, but she was a great teacher. She cut to the chase and told us exactly what we needed to concentrate on, and the material came straight from the books. I made an A the first time through.

I had heard horrible things about this class, but she made it interesting and informative. You'll work for your grade, but a little studying and you will be golden. By far the best teacher you could get to teach this class! Personable and entertaining!

Sheppard was a blast! Her class was a lot easier than I all of the horror stories that I had heard about JRNL 1100. Or maybe it was just me...I got an A the first time through...(haha). Anyway, she is a riot!
