If you have to take this class, take Mueller. The class is an extremely dense and hard to understand subject but he does everything he can to get you a good grade. He breaks the study guide down to exactly what you need to know. Make sure you sit close because he sometimes mumbles but as long as you study the study guide you can get an A.

He really tries his best with the subject matter. You can tell he is a bit distracted with his own research but overall I enjoyed the class. Just use the study guides!!!! and you will do well :)

Really good class! Prof.Mueller tries really hard to make the information clear and is very attentive to helping students understand concepts. If you like neuroscience you should do well. 2 quizzes, midterm and final have really good study guides.

Great class!! Prof. Mueller really tries hard to make difficult concepts clear, has great powerpoint slides that correspond with the text and are fun. The question is does neuroscience interest you? If yes, take this class. 2 quizzes, mid-term and final are really spelled out with a very helpful study guide. Optional extra credit essay.

He is a GREAT professor. Yes, the material is hard... BUT he makes it SUPER simple and interesting! Study the study guide! everything in there IS ON THE TEST! never really used the book, but it is helpful. Attendance is MANDATORY! and you'll be fine!

i loved dr. mueller. obviously its not easy... its neuroscience. but if you love neuro and you're a good student, its an "easy" A -- not so easy if you're not interested/dont study, but if you do, you will learn A LOT. great prof.

Ralph cracks really lame jokes during class, but they make everyone laugh. The material is pretty interesting, but the book will just confuse you. He gives you study guides before tests and basically tells you exactly what is going to be on it. As long as you study what he tells you, there should be no reason not to get an A

He is a great professor.I agree with the last person to post.Its a hard class.No getting around it.Its a difficult subject,not a big party, but he does his best to make it fun.He understand that the subject is not super fun, so he makes jokes here and there.He has a great sense of humor.His study guides are amazing. Mueller definitely makes an effort to make his class enjoyable for students, but its hard since he teaches a hard class. I can see why people are saying he's a horrible teacher but its just cause they probably had no interest in the topic. I think its just difficult for him to teach sdsu students because we don't come to class wanting to learn

Tests are challenging, you must study but he gives you a completely study guild (know it front and back). Very flexible and understanding, loves students who participates. Material can be alittle intimidating..but it's not that bad, I promise.

Don't take. His lectures consist of power point presentations that are creativly put together, but confusing. I didn't learn much. He is open to feedback but I feel he never really listened. But: he grades on a big fat curve - I got a B+.(miracle)

Sooo boring! I like the material at first, but he pretty much ruined it for me. Monotone, tests somewhat hard (he's very nitpicky on the short open-ended Q's). No one showed up to class ever after the first week.
