This was a great course! While the idea of "women writers" doesnt seem interesting- a range of topics was covered that provided great interest. Don't judge it by the name- definitely worth it! I would definitely take this course again.

I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. I really had a bad experience with this professor. She ruined the intro to English class for me at Glendon. I avoid her classes now and I'm glad I do.

Great professor. Very helpful when needed but doesn't baby anyone. If you've come to university to work and learn then she'll help you do it. Expect half lecture half discussion and be prepared to speak up.

She doesn't skimp on essay comments, you will definitely know how to write an essay when she's done. She's bundles of fun too. Hope to have her again!

Judith may be a nice woman but is a terrible prof. I had her in my first year and after 4 years and so many ENG courses, I still say that she was the worst prof I had. The woman is insane about how you format your work (measures with a ruler!). Hard marker, not approachable, unclear. Steer clear of her class.

Professor Stuart made Literary Texts and Genres fun. Her seminars were very funny and engaging. Moreover, she was very helpful in terms of essays and explanations. One thing that is difficult to explain is the level of clarity with which she explained the different contents of the course. I thought she was an excellent prof.

I took Professor Stuart's Poetry and Poetics module, and it was one of my favourite classes in my entire university career. She is very enthusiastic about the subject matter, and makes everything interesting. I didn't find the workload too overwhelming. Just make sure you keep organized because there are lot of hand-outs. Very helpful prof. as well

For Literary and Drmatic Criticism. She is fair, approachable, and willing to help. She enjoys teaching and it shows. Her knowledge base is broad and allows her students room to participate and pursue their own interests. I was nervous for such a demanding course load, and although she is no push over, she made the material relevant and alive.
