Professor Chang is extremely rude. I have taken writing courses in the past so creative criticism is nothing new to me, however hers is not creative, rather personal attacks on your character. I make sure to participate in class discussions and do the homework, yet she still did not like me and she made it very clear.

I really enjoyed taking her Creative Writing class. She's really helpful when it comes to feedback and what you need to do to make your writing better without being nasty about it like other professors. She hates people missing class and showing up late and expects you to participate in discussions of readings, so dont miss class and buy the book!!

She is a tough teacher and will challenge your writing skills, but its all worth it. I learned so much from her. Its a very time consuming class, so you need to be dedicated. Other than that, she's very sweet and so very helpful! Try not to miss a class though, she covers alot of material. Take lots and lots of notes!

Professor chang is extremely helpful and really wants her students to improve as writers. Though her comments may seem harsh, she has an editing background and knows what she is talking about. Show that you have taken the changes she has suggested into consideration and you will do well.

This was my favorite class! Professor Chang really taught me how to revise my work and inspired me to take writing arts up as a second major.Her class was always a lot of fun and never boring because she is so passionate about her subject. She can give a lot of work, but it's so much fun to do that it doesn't even feel like work half the time.

I wont say that I did not learn anything because I absolutely did. She is a difficult grader and at times brutal with corrective criticism. If you are a perfectionist be aware that no matter how hard you work, a B is a strong possibility. Many of my classmates were discouraged.

terrible. this class was not enjoyable. I didn't learn anything. It also didn't help that she was extremely rude. Her comments and critiques are more personal attacks than helpful suggestions concerning your writing. She should probably keep most of her comments and opinions to herself.

Professor was one of the worst I have ever had at Rowan. For someone who has never published a chidren's book, she sure thinks she knows a lot. And will try to force you to think the same way. Leave your own opinions and ideas at the door.

She's critical over nonsense, clearly picks favorites, and makes everything personal. She is the classic example of the ad hominem fallacy: she attacks the person, rather than the subject. Don't try to argue with her, because she won't listen. Remember, she is always right.

If you want to enjoy writting when you leave Rowan, don't take Prof. Chang! Her criticisms are not constructive. If she doesn't like you she will make it apparent. Very opionionated, and clearly has favorites in the class. If you want to take an enjoyable class and gain new knowledge and skills about writing, then seek another prof!!!!!!

Don't take Chang! Her teaching practices are unethical, outdated, and out of touch with true creative writing classes and the real world. Given how great the rest of the Writing program is, I was shocked and disgusted at how poorly Chang conducted her course. Also, very critical of everything but criticism is rarely constructive.

I got an A in the class but still suffered through every minute of it. The ways Chang graded and ran classes were very biased. If you're not 1 of her favorites - watch out. She'll make the enite course really difficult for you.

Grades everything very subjectively. In theory this makes sense considering it is a writing class, but Chang uses no rubrics or objective grading system. Instead, she plays favorties and makes no attempts to hide who those students are. Never seen a more unethical and down-right bad writing professor as Chang.
