I think the people who say that she is hard just need to put a little more work in it. She is very opionated, but she is willing to explain her viewpoints and shows a viewpoint of colonialism that you don't see a lot of the time.

I thought she was a very nice lady and always willing to help you. Although she does assign reading and journal assignments, they are not that hard. If you are willing to talk a little bit in class, you will get a good grade.

if you don't share her opinions on a particular subject, you're WRONG, or so she says. Thinks that the British colonization of the wrong was wrong, and that we should still be trying to make up for it today. Lots of reading assignments w/ jounaling.
