Satan! She's an incredible lecturer and extremely helpful. Her class is the most fun I've had as an undergrad. She's absolutely hilarious and down to earth. The course readings are hit/miss but she makes them bearable. I definitely recommend Professor Creet!

Comment:

Professor Julia Creet is excellent at guiding discussions and conducting lectures. A lot of the texts read were interesting although a few were mind-numbingly boring. That said, I do recommend this class to anyone interested in English satire, because this class is funny and informative.

Comment:

Fantastic Professor, very caring of her students and is always available via email or office hours to discuss essay topics or ways to improve. Material is great, give or take a few, lectures are interesting and as long as you talk in classtutorial and keep the discussion going she's pretty satisfied. Essay topics are fun and the outline is easy!

Prof Creet is the BEST PROF I HAVE EVER HAD!! She knows how to teach unlike many others. She allows for great discussion, gives lots of good feedback and most importantly her classes are FUN and INFORMATIVE. She is a fair marker, and is always there if you need extra assistance. She is down to earth, hilarious (with a touch of sarcasm), and AMAZING

Most helpfull and wonderfull professor. My all time favorite. She helped me with essays when i went to her office hours and granted me extentions when i needed them. Her lectures are intresting (and funny at times). Allows discussions in lecture And an easy marker as long as you do your part. I would difenitly recommend taking her courses.

This is the most challenged I've ever felt by a course. I think she's a brilliant professor. She's also completely approachable, if you make the effort to approach her. I wish I spend less time being intimidated and more time actively engaging in class discussions.

Not getting into Lit Non Fic after having Prof. Creet for Satire the year before was not an option for me. Her lectures are interesting, amusing, and clear. She may come off a bit pretentious, but only because she knows everything about everything. She's a tough marker, but only to help you improve. Best prof I've had in all 4 years.

Julia Creet is the best professor I've had all year! Her lectures on reading materials were enthusiastic, well-prepared and interesting, and she always managed to engage the class in good discussion. This class, literary non-fiction, was great, and I definitely recommend it!

convoluted lectures, unprepared. heavy reliance on secondary sources. talks like a turtle...patronizing. likes to be shamelessly referential about the "flow" of the lecture...which there is none. The "vehicle for [her] verbal skills" is probably partially-broken.

AMAZING! Prof. Creet is a wonderful teacher who is funny and knowledgeable. It is a shame that she will not be returning to teach this class next year. I am thankful that I got to take her class before she stopped teaching it. This is the best class that I have ever taken!

one of the best english classes i have ever taken.the only problem with course is that its popularity has resulted in scrounging up inexperienced TAs, who can't lead a class discussion to save their life. at times overly pretensious, they seem to be a TA to have their ego stroked and feel spuerior to lowly undergrad students

Not for the easily offended, Creet is sarcastic, witty and opinionated. Has a teaching style that draws you in and makes even dry readings funny. Good TA's, too. The kind of prof you wish others would model themselves against, I'd recommend this course to ANYONE looking for a challenge- both with the work and their own opinions.

I took this class because I needed to take another english course. I am so happy that I took this class. The material is very interesting and Prof. Creet is an awesome lecturer. I never thought I would like a satire class, but I absolutely love it! Take it if you can!
