Julia is brilliant. While some find that her teaching style is hard to understand, I found that the real goal of her teaching was to present ideas in a manner that the student can piece them together for herself. She has been my favority professor at Mount Holyoke so far.

Seems to know a lot, but doesn't teach much. Just kinda sits there and has us do all the talking. And I mean really, just sits there. I've had better anthro teachers.

NOT A PLEASANT WOMAN. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH HER, YOUR GRADE WILL REFLECT THIS. NARCISSISTIC. WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE FOR SENIOR INDEPENDENT-STUDY ADVISOR.

By far one of the best professors at MHC! Although she did assign A LOT of readings and her quizzes were borderline impossible, she is a nice person in and out of class.

JJ is an amazing professor! Her commitment to students' growth is incredibe! 1 class I took w/ her was the best class I've taken in my whole college 'career'. Not only did she design a well thought out syllabus, but she taught us how to be scholars!

Wonderful woman and I imagine a brilliant researcher, but invariably off the topic, with asignments and exams being almost wholely unrelated.

She gave absolutely insane amounts of reading to do. She then gave quizzes on specific, inane details, so you could read 600 pages and fail anyway because you forgot someone's grandma's name(etc). What an idiot.

A very cool class, especially if you want to know more about Indian culture. She's a very nice lady, very willing to help you, and it's an overall interesting class. Class discussions are usually decently good too.

This class sucked my will to live. The homework is WAY too much, the details are WAY too anal, and it just made me want to never hear anything about Anthro ever again. But- she was interesting to talk to on her own.

She's a wonderful woman and teacher on a one on one basis, but when you get her infront of a class full of students she has no clue what she's doing. You won't learn much and your grades will suffer regardless of your effort.
