Julie is one of the best professors I've ever had. A lot of people say she's scatterbrained or disorganized or whatever but I don't see how that makes her a bad teacher. She's hilarious and legitimately cares so much about every single one of her students and wants them all to succeed.

I had Julie for 342 and Clowning. She wasn't very helpful as a 342 teacher, because I think she knew that there were kids in the class that HAD to be there (and didn't want to be). However, all the nonsense gets put aside when you enter an upper level class, and she really critiques and gives you great feedback. Incredibly smart, clever, wonderful.

Omg she is wonderful! She is the best teacher I've ever had. Honestly, she only wants you to try, so as long has you have a positive attitude and are putting forth an effort, you'll do fine. She truly wants everyone to be happy and have fun, so this class is always a joy to go to.

I hated this class!!! It was boring and I didn't improve my acting at all. She is very spastic and never explains herself. She wastes most of the class time with pointless things and is not helpful at all. I was always happy when class was over so I didn't have to deal with her...she stressed me out every day!!!

The worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune of working with. She is incredibly unprofessional. She frequently makes personal comments that are totally uncalled for. She becomes defensive at the drop of a hat. She picks favorites, and if you're not one of them, watch out. Her class is a waste of time and energy. DON'T TAKE IT!!!!

One of the best theater teachers I had at umass! Does not play favs, will always give you a second chance, and will totally support and encourage you if you are putting in the effort.Loves to work with new talent. She is totally underated in the theater department.

she is very spacey, you will think that she does not like you, but once you get to know her you will see that it was not you, that is just how she comes off. expects you to do your work but if you enjoy theater and dont mind memorizing monologues your ok
