Make sure to attend classes, super easy and very passionate about her work. Many group presentations but she is an easy grader, all you have to do is present something and you get an A. Her class is all bout trying, the final is a group presentation so pick a good group at the beginning of the quarter.

Professor Julie is an amazing professor and externally passionate about teaching. Her class is interesting and you actually learn a lot of things. Her class is easy going with less homework. You do not have to buy the book since a center in the building lets you borrow one and book are used rarely.

Julie is truly amazing! Her online lectures really showed how passionate and committed she is to environmental science and to changing the world. Class is an easy A if you're on top of things and do quality work. She's made me conscious and interested in studying environmental science even further! :)

Grade depends on participation, binder check, a few group presentations, team activities, and notes on chapter readings. Very easy A, super nice/passionate teacher, but I feel like most activities are just busy work. Teamwork is highly emphasized, which I liked.

Julie's directions take a week to get used to (piecing together various instructions), but you cannot fail at this… I fear for anyone who got less than an 'A'.

Julie is honestly amazing! She's really passionate about her subject. I took the online class and it was pretty straight forward. It will seem like a lot of work at first but it gets easier once you got it all figured out. Easy class, just do the work and you'll be fine

Don't listen to the previous rater; Julie is still getting the hang of the new way the online classes are run, clarified everything in an FAQ, and now has a TA to help keep her organised. She's very passionate about her research and is VERY helpful and nice in providing feedback on all assignments! Class is SUPER easy. Take it, you won't regret it!

I really wanted to enjoy this class -unfortunately, the online version was very confusing to the point I had to drop. The lecture, weekly sheet, and syllabus all have conflicting info, so it was unclear what needed to be handed in. Julie responded to one of my emails before the quarter, but never replied to any after that. Don't take this online!

I took this class to fulfill my GE requirements but I ended up choosing it as one of my double majors! She really makes you love the subject as much as she does and you can learn a lot although it's an easy A. However, that said, it seemed almost TOO easy to pass.

I really enjoyed Julies class. I thought she was funny and had a lot of adult humor that the younger students don't catch. It is a GE and Major course with mixed students. You do a lot of group work so choose a table with students that you feel will do there part, not be flaky and confrontational. Keep up with weekly textbook work and your gold.

NICEST, FRIENDLIEST, KIND HEARTED PROFESSOR EVER!!!! You can tell she has a passion for her work and the class, she always comes prepared and is ready to teach! The sad part is that mostly everyone was on their iPhones and she would yell at some people... I found that some students took the class too seriously esp their presentations.
