Comment:

She is pretty strict and gives homework everyday. However, she is a wonderful teacher and everything you do in the class helps in future classes. She knows what she is talking about and cares that you do too. Make sure you attend class, or you will fall behind!

Great teacher! She seems eager for her students to learn. This class isn't an easy A. You have to work for it. She does give a good amount of homework. What's most important is doing well on the essays. She gives 3 big essays and a one big group project. I enjoyed this class. She taught me how to write a good paper. Take her! You won't regret it!

So to sum it up, I to this day use the writing skills that I learned in her class. She is strict, but I am confident in going to University level and writing a good paper. She teaches the art of writing. She expects you to be detail oriented. If you expand everything, you will do good. I didn't have time for an a, but got a B.

Great professor so far. The "textbooks" for this class are her notes which you should refer to all the time--she tests you on them, so BE PREPARED! Focuses on writing papers--she helps you tremendously (go to her office hours). Has a HUGE heart. Loves helping students succeed. Ask for clarification b/c her notes can be understood in dif. ways.

She takes the life out of this English class. Horrible first impression: talking to herself, her notes all over the place. Told us there was nothing personal or creative about this class. Work, work, work, if you get stuck with her... Well, good luck.

Ms. Segedy really loves teaching, and she really loves her students. She wants everyone to do their best and better, and she does everything to can to help. She doesn't hold low standards, so it's not exactly an easy class. But if you want to develop your thinking and bring your writing to a higher level, Ms. Segedy can help AND make it fun!

Ms Segedy is a very informative teacher and i have learned a lot. HOWEVER, she is SUPER strict. Whatever you do, do NOT fall asleep, use your phone, or come in late. she is kind of intimidating sometimes, but is a nice person. Class is a lot of work, but it is worthwhile. It will cure you of your procastination problems :D

Horrible -_-...her HW is super hard and the topics are boring. The last book we were going to start was about slavery which to me is not current.3 papers can revise 1 but by the time she gives your 2nd paper back its a week before the final. By the time you kind of figure out your grade its to late to drop since she gave papers late. really picky 2

She is very smart without a doubt highly educated yet she has this expectation for everybody. She grades extremely difficult and gives out tons of HW. She wants your HW to be like mini essays. She is very hard don't take unless you are an english major

She's is by far one of the most encouraging teachers I have ever had. She made sure to tell me exactly what were my strengths and weaknesses in every paper. I really improved my writing skills in her class. Can't wait to take her again!

I am in Segedy's class right now and I can tell you so far I think she is a wonderful teacher. I think she is fairly easy. If you do the reading and the assigned work you will pass. She also notes that even if English isn't your strongest area but you try she gives you credit for that. Ms. Segedy is great definite recomendation.

An incredible Professor and Woman. The course is challenging and the homework intensive, but you will walk away having learned necessary skills and honed your natural talents. She is passionate, dedicated, incredibly fun and devoted beyond measure. One of two best out of YEARS of experience with Teachers/Professors. Take this class!

She's such a wonderful teacher but this professor is very difficult. In the end there were only 6 students left out of 28 and only 4 passed. I barely escaped with a C which to me is an A for effort!! I KNOW I rock in Eng. Sadly her grading is horrid. Essays are what she wants you to write, not your own opinion. Good luck.

You might think she is "doing too much" but that is what to look for in teachers. She taught me a lot and after everything I appreciated it. She knows her stuff and teaches it well. Very passionate about her job.

Amazing woman! Very sweet and not too hard. If you like English take her. If you don't you'll be fine regardless! Got an A. My only complaint is the too much easiness from the readings.
