Heavy work load. Ambiguous grading. My papers always said the same thing. "Great job, interesting point" then he would slap an arbitrary grade on it. He didn't even give me credit for one of my quizzes. He lost a girl's paper. This guy is a total mess. If he likes you, you'll get an A. If not, you could be Einstein and you'll get a B or C.

this class was alright. im not going to complain. he missed alot of his classes..and your allowed to miss alot without getting in trouble. the papers werent too bad..i seemed to get the same grade everytime. i got a B in the class and i honestly didnt do alot of work. wert is a good guy..i just hate english.

He was a nice guy, but grades papers pretty roughly. I am not a paper writer AT ALL and i got C's or C+'s on every single one :( So, if you can write well, take him and you'll do very well, if not...then prepare to work really hard on your papers (and there were either 4 or 5 per semester).

Although Dr. Wert was a nice guy, his class was afwul. All he did was reread the stories in class we were supposed to read for homework. only 5 essays and a final, but class is incredibly boring. If you don't want to learn anything and you don't care about getting a "easy" B or C, then take him.

Take him! Grades somewhat harsh but not terribly so. Lets you get 10 points back on papers for doing corrections if you go to office hours he basically tells you what to write. VERY leniant -- lets you hand things in late if its not an all the time thing. Great guy, you'd be stupid not to take him. Class usually gets out way early as well.

Fun teacher, very laid back and loves to talk. He loves fly fishin and seems to be his favoirte topic to talk about. very little work to do. If possible you could never go to class and still pass. He doesn't seem to teach anything about English he just tells you to read a story, then he rereads it in class. He never teaches English.

AWESOME FREAKING TEACHER! He really cares about his students and is always there to help. You have a journal, papers, and two quizes. Thats about it! He grades pretty strictly on your papers but you get ten points if you correct it. But if you really want to have a good english 102 or 101 prof. definitly take Wert! One of the best professors here!

you have your daily readings, journals and a few essays (correct for extra 10 points). therefore, overall he is easy. do you work, come to class, and turn essays in on time. i made a C+ because of late papers. however, i have him agian for ENG 102. TAKE HIM FOR ENGLISH!!!

Justin is awesome. He is very understanding, cares about his students, and jokes around in class with everyone. He does give serious writing assignments, so the class isn't super easy, but if you give an effort you should be fine. Also if you have any trouble writing just talk to him and he will gladly help. Seriously cares teaching.

Dr. Wert is absolutely amazing!! His class is pretty easy, but you learn a lot. Only 5 essays; 2 are in-class. He's fun and energetic and did i mention hot! He's also very helpful if you go to him during office hours. I definitely recommend this class!!!

I hate english and before I had this class I never enjoyed a single Eng class. But this wasn't so bad. All short stories and only 5 rather short essays. As long as you do as you are told, you'll like it. Grades tough on papers but magically, you end up with a higher grade than you expect

Although his lectures can be somewhat boring, he picks great stories to read! There are about 6 papers for the entire semester, but they are not too difficult. I highly recommend Dr. Wert!
