The book is needed. You have to go to the class to understand the extra material that she brings. The quizzes aren't awful, they are mostly multiple choice and there are only 3 options instead of 4 or 5. Studying key terms and the questions in the back of the book helps. Little extra credit is offered.

Your grade is determined by how much of the book you can memorize. She gives pointless lectures that have nothing to do with sociology. Also, she's very rude and arrogant. I wouldn't recommend taking one of her classes.

Overall, she is terrible. I have asked for help many times, and all she will say is, "Don't stress about it. Nobody wants you to do better in this class than I do". While just about every single person in her class is failing. She rambles about things that aren't on the quizzes or midterm and you are expected to be able to memorize the entire book.

Overall, TERRIBLE professor. I do not recommend her at all. Nothing is clear. I learned everything by teaching myself and when our SI instructor taught the class. She goes on tangents that have nothing to do with the class and is VERY unhelpful!

Group work every day; stupid unrelated Snap Projects. She gives extremely hard exams and will not give you a chance to make up anything or get extra credit. She has OCD and everything MUST be Perfect or you will get graded off, I am not talking grammar, I am talking a wrinkle in your paper or a stain on the page.
