Absolutely Horrible woman. She is NASTY to students. She knows a lot, but wastes more time talking than teaching. Complains how she teaches at CSUF while her brother is a Prof at Yale. No matter how good you write, she'll tear it apart from start to finish. Beware of what you share about yourself in your essays, she's likely to tear you up as well.

God this woman really makes my blood boil. She DOES spend the whole class period on 2 slides, grades like a Professor that graduated from Harvard, when really she was a librarian at CSU Bakersfield (she told our class multiple times). I personally think she is highly biased, and when you approach her for help, she yells at you and goes crazy!

I wonder if the good ratings are a joke... This class was a farce, she was utterly boring and went off on tangents. She is an extremely hard grader and nitpicks every word. she is boring, unhelpful and doesnt check email nor use blackboard. When telling our class we did poorly, she would laugh at us. I loath her. This is higher education??

she does talk alot and only gets through a couple of slides. i first thought that i was going to hate this class but i ended up likeing it. she knows her stuff and loves what she does. she took attendancwe randomly and the papers were not that bad. just do the work and go to class and you will do fine

she is passionate about this field. she knows what she is talking about. boring? no...she talks about these women and their histories like they were her own. exams are extremely easy-hands out study guides before hand. the papers were simple- i recieved an A in the class. she does take her time in grading papers and exams. overall great class

She is crazy! She is very passtionate about her topics but does not make it interesting for the students. You have to pay attention in class because you are not going to get any help from her in her office hours or through email, she doesnt respond. Takes all semester to grade work, doesnt use blackboard, still dont know what my grade is

This woman is dedicated to the subject and you will learn alot. She is more than fair and you will always be well prepared for your assignments. Emphasis on writing...go to class and take notes and think! She will want you to apply what your learning, and its not too much to ask--good instructor and class. Highly Recommend :)

I personally find Ms. Kidd ridiculous. She takes an entire class period to get through maybe 2 powerpoint slides, she is completely bias and set in her ways, and she doesnt make the class as interesting as it COULD be. No doubt she knows her material, and is highly educated, but I find her condescending and slow getting through material.

Teacher does goes off on tangents but it is all related to today's events/history and interesting. Enjoyed the class. Three papers (2-3 pgs.), 1 mid-term and 1 final (you can use note cards). Very particular with writing skills, so be prepared. Did not take any attendance.

Her class was interesting and yes she does go off on tangents but that relate to the material. If you are a poor writer, you might not do well in this class. Just pay attention to her power points and read an occaisional chapter or two and you'll be fine. Visit her during her office hours because she is more than willing to help.

subject matter is interesting. 3 essays. 1 mid term. 1 final. For this class, it is important to know how to write. She's very knit picky about your spelling, punctuations, etc. If you're looking for an A in this class, you'll have to be an excellent writer. She rarely gives A's for anything.

She was an English teacher before, so if your writing is weak don't take this class. With that said, she's a great teacher and keeps the material interesting. We had 3 short essays, a midterm (essay), and final (essay). I don't know why other people didn't like her because this was one of my favorite classes and I'm not even an AMST major.
