Comment:

Karen is by far the sweetest and most adorable human being in the history of professors. She is well read, slightly scattered brained (which is a MUST for english teachers, because we all know that's hilarious) and she is caring beyond belief. Her lectures are kind of dry, but her jokes are funny. All around, she is great professor.

Dr. Magro is very kind and helpful. She is one of the most knowledgeable instructors that I have had. She is very well read and is happy to share her knowledge; to give advice and guidance to her students. Her courses are very informative. She presents a wide range of relevant strategies and resources for the classroom. Highly recommended.

She is a very lovely, caring and kind prof. who truly cares about her students and their futures. So many great stories and experiences which she shares frequently. Participation not necessary but she definitely likes it . Each day she came with her suitcase full of new books to show. Reasonable assignments. I did not have an exam in her class!

An amazing, helpful, inspiring, kind and caring woman. She loves to teach and goes above and beyond to help her students. She comes to class with every material that could help her students. I still have a file full of materials I am using for my teaching from her. Thank you, Dr. Magro. You Rock. Do not let the nay sayers hold you back.

Completely out of touch and over-sensitive. It's ironic that she teaches how to keep your students engaged, yet she can't do it herself. Super unorganized and scatter-brained, she did not help me in my education-oriented field of study and I took nothing useful from her class, which is a shame because I was hoping I would.

I really loved taking this class. It was probably the most valuable class I took in my field. Such a caring prof with real insight into her subject. Even if the class does not take a linear path, discussion proves extremely valuable. Marking is very thoughtful and gives such good feedback!!She is so resourceful and really just a great human being.

Karen is so dedicated. She is always happy to help! She is extremely knowledgeable and well read. A master teacher. So passionate. She gives tons of valuable resources! All the material we looked at was framed in a super useful way, so that we could just take it and use it. She always made a massive effort for us to succeed. A Real Gem.

Karen is a nice woman hands down. She has a lot of experience in the field of education, especially teaching diverse students. This makes her very understanding and lenient. HOWEVER, since she is an editor, writer, professor, etc., I found her classes extremely unorganized. She's talkative and repetitive. Gave us snacks in class but it lacked a lot

Karen is the nicest women I have ever met. She is so caring to each of her students and is so passionate about teaching. Her assignments are not hard but you do have to actually try. She doesn't give away easy A's. She is awesome to e-mail, she replies back instantly and is so kind and helpful. Overall, best professor I have had :)

She's honestly one of the kindest profs one can have. She is very understanding and flexible regarding due dates, and always gives great feedback. She usually returns papers and assignments the class (or sometimes 2) after. Amazing prof!

CIA Alt - Dr. Magro is one of the most understanding, helpful & pleasant profs in the Ed. Dept. She wants you to do well & will meet with you both in & out of class to help you. No exams but lots of writing & analysis of readings. Fair marker but slow to return assignments. She is very supportive of her students.
