Comment:

She's very lecture heavy and lectures about simple stuff one usually learns in high school. I am extremely good at English, I've been in honors English and AP English all throughout high school, so it was a surprise that I got a C on every single paper; the class is easy too. I even went to her office hours for help, but still got graded poorly.

Professor Randolph has this online class thing down, everything for the entire semester was laid out nicely. Plenty of time to get assignments done, she gives loads of feedback and opportunities to revise your papers before final hand in.

VERY opinionated. Marks you down on your papers big time if she doesn't agree with you. I made corrections she gave to me specifically on my last paper and still recieved a medicore grade. Also treats us if we were in elementary school. Would not recommend her, do not take her class!!

Prof. Randolph is a great instructor in my opinion, she does expect a lot from her students but this is college and expected. You do not pay thousands of dollars to be drifted through classes, you have to work for it.

The way lessons were laid out online were confusing and so was her grading system. If you like being confused and frustrated about why you got a C- on a paper you thought did well on, then Karen is the teacher for you!

Karen was a wonderful professor. She was quick to give back our papers, and always gave good feedback. If anyone had any questions out of class she was always accessible through email, and was always fast to respond compared to other professors. I'm not a big fan of English courses, but I truly enjoyed her class.

I missed one assignment and she dropped me from the course. Don't take her class if you have jobs or cant look at elearning everyday. The point of an online class is so that people who have 2 jobs like me can still get classes done without needing to go into a classroom everyday. If I knew this would be an everyday class I wouldn't have taken it.

She is probably the worst teacher I have ever had for English. She makes up her own course pack, which is very difficult to navigate. I Swear when I first started I thought I was in an advanced class with the way she was teaching. She also uses politics in her class to write papers. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!

Professor Randolph is a good professor. Sometimes she lectures on things that don't help you, but all-in-all I liked her. She uses a convenient $14 coursepack instead of a textbook. The 3 papers make up 70% of the grade and pretty much all the homework. Although I misunderstood the first prompt, she is normally clear, and is ready to give pointers.

Wouldn't recommend this class. I feel like I learned nothing the entire semester. Grades purely on opinions no matter how hard you try on the papers. She's a good person, just not the best teacher.

Do NOT take this teacher. She is unclear with expectations and grades based on her own opinion. This class was not hard, but extremely frustrating. I do not reccomend her at all. She is one of the worst teachers I've ever had.

She isn't at all open to questions and makes you feel stupid for asking. Her course and what she expects is not at all clear. She expects you to understand from the materials she writes out herself. She accused me of doing something I didn't do after my first paper and when I pointed out that I followed her directions she pretty much said oh well.

Karen was one of the worst professors I've ever had. She strictly grades based off of her own opinions. No matter how great your paper was if she didn't agree, then you can say goodbye to a good grade. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother taking it with her.

Karen was very helpful; she goes out of her way to help you succeed. She was very prompt in responding to questions. I think what I'm left most with, is how encouraging she was. I walked away feeling good about my work, even if she had to bring correction in her critique. Her encouraging attitude made me want to succeed all the more.

HORRIBLE professor. Would not recommend her at all. Grades based on her own opinion and not on the actual paper so if you have your own opinion expect a bad grade. She is awful at explaining her expectations. Take another professor if you can. You will not get an A in her class.

She grades fully on opinion but once you give your opinion she will grade you down if it is not the same as hers. No one that I know of has an AA- in this class. There are great writers in this class and they are being graded too harshly

WORST teacher ever! Definitely grades based on her own opinion. If there is another 112 teacher, take them. The first paper is a paper on your opinion- i got a c-. How do you get a c- on a paper based on your opinion? HORRIBLE CLASS!
