Joanne has to give crazy extensions on assignments so we don't get mad that we never get anything back. It's really frustrating taking a course and never getting any feedback on your papers. I had her for 3111 and the same thing happened. I wouldn't take a class with her again. She's really nice to her students so they don't complain.

Jo-Anne can go off topic and is late getting everything back, but she makes up for it by greatly extending deadlines. She is engaging and energetic on a Friday morning, which everyone needed. Not afraid to express discontent about the course and shares ways to better interpret lectures and study the particular material. Hope to have again.

Jo Anne is a great TA for helping you get the course material. She's really smart and helpful when you catch her in her office. But she cancels a lot of classes and takes a ridiculous amount of time to hand things back. You have to corner her almost to get feedback. I feel bad for her cause she's nice but too distracted to be a effective TA

I like JoAnne on a personal level but have a number of issues with her as a TA. She is very kind and not to mention entertaining however unprofessional in the way she conducts classes often goes off on tangents. DOES NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS, marking is fair. either way i would not take another class with her.

Jo-Anne MacLellan is possibly the best Teachers Assistant York University. I greatly appreciate her assistance in helping myself as well as the class understand the material to the best of our ability. She is an amazing T.A and made my first year at York university very welcoming. She is very helpful. BEST TA ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET!!! <3 <3 <3

On a personal level I love this TA. She's funny, smart and helpful. BUT she takes MONTHS to hand back assignments so you have no feedback on how your doing in the course. She always seems tired and distracted. Maybe she should teach fewer students so she can focus on her job better.
