She is a fun and funny professor. She is genius too and is good at explaining and sympathetic. Fair grader and gives great feedback in office hours too. Too bad she is leaving for a greater purpose next semester.

She is much too spacey for my liking. She will do an example problem and erase it after realizing she did it wrong, and then write the same problem again on the board after she decides she did it correctly the first time. Office hours change weekly. She is kind and cares about her students. A wonderful person and advocate. Just not a good teacher.

Karen is a really nice professor. I personally do not enjoy her lecture a lot but that is just my personal opinion. Generally speaking, she is a good teacher. She explains everything very thoroughly, and very helpful.

Karen is amazing. She's very reasonable, down to earth, and helpful. I'm not a math person at all (even though I'm minoring in stats) but she is accommodating. She has also done some really interesting work and will gladly talk to you about it. Plus, she really cares about her students.

Huge difference between what she is trying to teach you, and what the textbook is trying to teach you. Unfortunately, the homework comes from the textbook and so does half of the exam. Extremely slow at responding emails, shows no interest in helping you catch up, and cancels office hours in the last minute.

I adore this woman! Even though it turns out that abstract math is NOT FOR ME, I want to stress what a great prof she is. She knew I was struggling (I ended up with a C+ in the class, compared to my 3.5 GPA) and would always try to work in real world applications to keep the science majors in the class interested. Wonderful lady!

Karen is a wonderful person. She realizes that most students in her class are not math-oriented and therefore takes the time to make the information interesting. She does not take herself too seriously and doesn't mind a good laugh! Very approachable, was the most understanding professor when I was very ill.

Took Math Content and Spirit with her. Easy and extremely fulfilling. I feel like I learned a great deal without a ton of effort. Makes everything extremely clear and is very patient. Tests were open book and open notes. We never read anything and we didn't have a syllabus. It was great! Highly recommended.

It seems she prepares for class. Good at teaching what is in the book. if you ask additional questions out of interest, tends to get frustrated and red in the face if she is not prepared for it. No curves, but grading is pretty decent. Overall, okay prof.
