Dr. Sienerth is awesome and made Chemistry bearable for me two semesters in a row. SUPER accessible outside of class in office hours and just in general, and always willing to help you work through a tough problem even if it takes a while. I pretty much bombarded him with emails multiple times a week and he was always helpful and nice! Take him!

Dr. Sienerth is one of those professors that is a real gem inside and outside of class. He is hilarious without trying to be, incredibly accommodating as far as late work and projects, and really passionate about his subject. I took his j-term forensic chemistry for a science credit and absolutely loved it

Dr. Sienerth is the best!! I think if he wasnt available office hours, I would have failed. I was there at least twice a week getting extra help. Chem is a tough class... but if you work hard and ask help when you need it you will pass... I got a B+!

Dr. Sienerth is a great guy and a fair grader. I never took AP Chem in high school and got a C in the chem class I did take, but I made an A in his course. Lectures are very thorough-I didn't open my book past the first two days. Absolutely always available, responds to emails within minutes. If you need to take gen chem, I HIGHLY recommend him!

His lectures although they are sometimes boring are very thorough, so I did not read my book past the first section. If you understand what he talks about in lecture you will at least get a B. His test are pretty hard, but he is a fair grader.

I loved Sienerth. He was very difficult and gave long exams that were hard to complete in time. -_- But I enjoyed his lectures and he was the most helpful professor I've ever had. Answers emails within ten minutes most of the time, even late at night. Always willing to meet outside of class. Really zany and intelligent guy who I would take again.

Prof Sienerth is a super nice guy who knows chemistry very well. His lectures are clear but long and boring, and he moves very fast. Chemistry is going to be hard no matter who you take it with. His tests are very long and difficult, however he is extremely helpful. He answers e-mails immediately and is always willing to help outside of class.

Sienerth is the man. Workload isn't that big, but his tests are difficult. Lectures can be hard to follow, but if you ask he will always clarify himself. Clearly an intelligent professor, as well as an all around genuine and funny guy. Highly recommended.

Sienerth really cares about his class and making sure that students do well. This doesn't mean that it'll be easy but if you tell him you are having trouble he will go out of his way to help you. He's a funny guy who keeps it entertaining. If you actually want to learn you should take this class.

Funny guy, interesting, and makes you think in ways you haven't before. However, assigns a TON of work especially for a gen ed requirement where a ton of people's classes are a joke. This is definitely not a joke, so if you want an easy GST class, don't take this one!

Dr. Sienerth has been my favorite professor so far. He assigns a lot of work for a Global class, but he is always clear, direct, and tell you what he expects, in addition to being very fair. He definitely has a sense of humor and often lets class out early. Great professor overall.

Dr. Sienerth is a chemistry teacher trying to teach a reading/writing/discussion intensive class. We wrote approximately 5 papers that were 7-10 pages long, and 7 that were 4-6 pages. Just about every class period we have to read 50 pages and write something. LOTS OF WORK! Very harsh grader and hard to understand what he wants in his assignments!

Simple suggestion, don't take him for Global. You write roughly 1 4-6 page paper every week and a half. He is a very tough grader, down to the simplets grammar error. Assigns easy busy work assignments, but if you mess up even a little bit he grades very toughly. Don't let your personal opinions show in your cultural event write ups, or else!

This man is AMAZING. I was so nervous about taking advanced chem and while it is a lot of work, this man is an incredible professor. Always available during the day and at night he's online, helped me in both ways. Class is hard, but the professor makes it worth it. I'd take a class I'm not even interested in just because he was teaching it.
